I played them all religiously, hours on end.

Halo 3 was by far the best IMO, but to be honest they were all pretty good. You have to remember some things that were created were ground breaking, and others were just improved upon. Overall 3 had it all.

Callof Duty 2 was easily the best of the series, followed closley by world at war (5) because of the introduction of zombies and awesome MP maps.

Halo CE Campaign & Halo 2 Multiplayer with CE closely behind. I was fortunate enough to experience both while also playing competitively. It was my golden years of true Nerdvana and I regret nothing. You should have seen the look on my football coaches face when I asked him if I could skip practice and a game to go to New York for an MLG. Classic.

Also in 2006 I finished top 32 in the FFA at the Meadowlands out of over 1,000 people for Halo 2. As well as winning over a dozen Connecticut tournaments including $2,000 in cash prizes and an Alienware laptop. Did I mention I was only 14-15 at the time and was sponsored for 3 MLG's.?

hey did you ever play that kid who was supposedly the youngest player on the MLG pro circuit, his Gamertag was Turtle something or another, I forget now what it was exactly.

I ran across him in Halo 2 doubles play once, at the time I thought I was pretty good at Halo 2 after that game I gave up competitive play, the dude destroyed me and my friend single handedly 50-2 or something like that and he was I think like 10 at the time.

I've always thought the maps were best in Halo 2 but the game play of 3 was the best

    • I’m not mad at Moehrig.  He’s great at what he does.  And to be honest, a lot of my favorite safeties in our history were box-first type guys - Maxie, Minter, Mike Mitchell, Chris Harris…  they’re first and foremost objective was to put people on their backs and coverage was secondary.  There is a place for that.  There is a definite need for that.  Physical guys that set the tone.  So cool, we have that in Moerhig. But what we have lacked for the vast majority of our existence is a true free safety that cleans everything up on the back end.  Sometimes they come in the form of a JOAT, like Peppers.  I think he would be a fantastic compliment to Moehrig’s strengths and weaknesses.  If we don’t go after him, I certainly hope Ransom is given the chance to grow and develop in real-time with real game reps, because what he did in preseason was very encouraging to see.  I hope he can grow into that roaming center fielder with a little bit of an edge to him as an enforcer as well.  He has the tools.  In the meantime, adding Peppers would only help.
    • Option 1 is most likely. Even if he kills it this year, it wouldn't be prudent to rush an extension for one good season. If you have to pay him more because you waited another year, then he earned it. And that's OK. Adjust accordingly.
    • Cam had the advantage of having a very strong supporting cast his first 2 seasons. Things definitely worsened later on. But those first couple of years can kill a QB. Some never truly recover. If they do recover it takes years, and usually with another team. Trying to learn to be an NFL QB with TEs and WRs that are trying to learn too is a recipe for disaster. Imagine if Cam's rookie season was that 2014 offensive squad. Changes everything! I said it when they moved up in 2023. This team wasn't ready for a rookie QB yet. Anyone that thinks Stroud would have been a lot better is delusional. The correct formula is to build a strong team and then you go get your rookie QB. Not the other way around. BY is going into his third season and we're still trying to put a respectable group of WRs and TEs around him. I think they have the right personnel now. Unfortunately they haven't developed into actual NFL players yet.  This season we should expect consistency and aggressiveness from BY. Mostly for his development but also to DEVELOP his young cast.
