who is the best man for the GM position?

been a lot of discussion.

whoever accorsi recommends.

consensus favorite seems to be decosta from the ravens but its pretty well accepted that he isnt going anywhere. beyond that...marc ross or kevin abrams from the giants, tom gamble from the 9ers, omar kahn from the steelers, floyd rese from the pats, and scot mcgloughlan from seattle (by way of san fran) are the ones i've heard most talked about.

more than likely it will be someone that accorsi has first hand knowledge of, which is fine with me because he's connected to a lot of talented people.

Not everyone.

I'm not going to hate the General Manager. If he keeps Rivera, its only setting up his failure if Rivera doesn't succeed. So that's why the new GM probably pick his own guy and let Rivera walk after the season. We need to try to avoid 2010. When we let Fox go Marty should've went also. Lets hope we don't go down that same road again.

it really doesn't matter who it is.......

everyone is going to hate him when he retains Rivera.

I think it would be a mistake but what the fug do I know?

I'm not a fan, but if our new GM's very first decision (and one of his biggest) is to retain Rivera, then I'll trust that he's done his homework and really believes we can win with him.

The new GM gets about 3 - 4 years to work cleaning up after Hurney and getting his system and people in place before I start judging him.

the new GM will have one hell of a job to do.
