First Take on Diva Cam

Gucci Mane

Recommended Posts

What did they discuss?

The article stating that cam was an asshole, coming from anonymous players. They debated whether it was in-bounds or out-of-bounds. Steven A Smith said it was irrelevant and was puzzled as to the timing of the article coming out. Rob said it was inbounds and they use anon quotes all the time. Skip said its relevant but he was kind of butthurt at the The Golden Calf of Bristol anon comments, and he hates Cam and loves RGIII anyways, so he was supportive of the comments towards cam.

They spent 90% of the segment talking about The Golden Calf of Bristol.

Yeah I'm fan of first and take and I was really looking forward to the segment and then they starting talking about The Golden Calf of Bristol. Usually Stephen A Smith is Cam's defender and Skip always finds a way to shade Cam by bringing up RG3 so thats what I was expecting. Stephen A was trying to defend Cam by saying why bring up the story now but I thought as a unit they could have done a better job on this segment. Stephen A knows Ray Lewis so he could have call and asked him what went down but like I said it was lazy and none of them brought up where it could be false. I like Cam a lot and I just hope that its not true about the autograph stuff. Von Miller who sacked him at the pro bowl said he if had son he want him to be like Cam.

    • Exactly He's played two seasons and started 28 games. He's well beyond the point of being able to point to 2 or 3 games and being able to say, "THAT is the QB he is and will be in the future" Of course he can get there, but anyone trying to use just those couple of games to rank his place amongst the games QB's today and their full career's worth of playing at that level, is just asinine. Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Hurts, Herbert, Daniels, Stafford, Goff, Geno, Purdy, Baker, Love, Dak, Tua, Kyler, Lawrence That's 17 QB's right there that have played better over their careers than Bryce has played at his best.  And I'm not saying they're all studs or guys I'd want to be our QB moving forward, Tua for example I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole, but his body of work is a million times better than Bryce's has been. It's also not including any of the other QB's drafted in 2023/2024 other than Daniels. So again, say you believe in Bryce, say you think he's going to prove he can and should be our QB of the future, that's all fair and totally fine. But nobody can say he's been an above average QB in his career thus far, it's just an asinine notion.
    • I'd think we could get one of those from Dallas for... whatever.
