Within the first three rounds, you will find your starters for the immediate future and beyond. You have a good GM, you don't have to worry about the draft at all. I was kind of hoping if we had the first overall pick, we would be able to trade back, and pick up an extra first for next year, possibly putting us in position to draft a Jadeveon Clowney or a Marquis Lee. Now I know the Chiefs have a firm grip on the first overall, and the Cards will probably lose out and get the second, trading back to pick up an extra first next year is out of the question. I want to continue to win, but I fear this may give Rivera another year.

This is my biggest issue with winning out. I love seeing this team perform better, but I'm concerned they may do just enough for Rivera to keep his job another season. In my opinion Ron Rivera does not have the tools to be a successful head coach in this league....

Today we showed we had the talent to be in the playoffs this year. We showed Cam is a top QB in this league, and Smitty can still ball. I hope JR looks at the entire season and see we have majorly underachieved this year. The media will look at these last couple of games and say Rivera's job is safe, but I hope management don't fall for that trap.

Not reading this whole thread just to see if this was already said. With the way things happened yesterday we are now picking 7th behind the lions and eagles. 5 win teams currently go up to pick 13. With what we saw from the team yesterday, I won't be surprised if we pick outside the top 15.

Wrong. we hold tiebreakers over Lions, Cards and Titans. We pick 5th as of now

    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
    • Certainly not going to miss his constant whiffs on sacks and tackles.
