How can you be against expanding the playoffs after these stats..

2011- Titans; 9-7

2010- Chargers 9-7, Giants 10-6, Bucs 10-6

2009- Texans 9-7, Falcons 9-7

2008- Patriots 11-5, Jets 9-7, Bucs 9-7, Cowboys 9-7, Bears 9-7.

2007- Browns 10-6

NONE of those teams made the playoffs. I say it should be expanded to 14 teams, not 16 because that would be too excessive. But how is it fair the 9-7 Giants can win the SB, or the 10-6 Packers but the 9-7 Titans, Chargers, Texans and Falcons along with the 11-5 Patriots not even making the playoffs?

Here is what I propose. Add one more playoff week. Before the wild card week even begins have a game the week before with the last place NFC playoff team VS the last place AFC playoff team. If you have a winning season, you should have a strong chance of making the playoffs.

Because the playoffs should be hard to get to, and only the absolute best should be there.

I'd rather have good teams missing out than bad teams getting in.

Because you're diluting the season run AND actual playoffs by letting too many teams in.

Much better to have some good teams outside looking in when the playoffs arrive.

    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
    • Certainly not going to miss his constant whiffs on sacks and tackles.
