How "good" are the Panthers really? Or how bad was San Diego?

We are 5-9. If we win the ATL, Chicago, and Tampa game (all games that statistically should have been virtual locks considering time and score but we managed to fug em up) we would be 8-6 and playing as well as anyone in the NFL while making a playoff push. We coulda been that team that gets hot right before the playoffs

FML :(

Last playoff appearance: 2008.

It is the end of the 2012 season and the next opportunity to make a playoff appearance will be in 2013- five years since the last one.

'Nuff said.

Im with it man i love conspiracies.

Cams 3rd year Superbowl win will seal the deal. We are a OL, DT and S away. All of which can be attained through free agency/draft. JR should hit the petal to the metal, cut/restructure the overpaids and go all out spending on those 3 positions. Gold

Chargers were a complete mess...but our D is legit...we are gonna be a scary D for the next few years....I wanna see more from Chud, but I think with our D, we may not need to be that agressive on offense...we're gettin there baby, nothing more awesome than seeing a young team learning to win

Problem is, even if we let Gross or Gamble walk there is no money to spend. That will just bring us under the cap. Even cutting both of them will not free enough money to sign any star.

However, there is no important rookie deal expiring this off season. Add another draft class and I think we are good to go for a deap play off run.

Just because they were a 5-8 team when we beat them, doesn't change the fact that we beat the Chargers. They have been a consistent and tough opponent in recent years and I wish we wouldn't forget that so easily because of how they're doing this season. The same way we're a better team than what our record says, the same way the Chargers were a worthy opponent. I like how determined and aggressive this team played. *insert other dramatic bullshit about how great this team played that leaves a warm feeling inside you*

    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
    • Certainly not going to miss his constant whiffs on sacks and tackles.
