...and it's funny that these guys sound like they're being forced to show up and spend money.

If you think you are investing in a pyramid scheme, why would you continue to invest?

If JR was in this for the money, he could have very easily let CJ, DeAngelo and others walk.

So if I may translate the whole premise of this article...

11 years ago some smart ass CEO wannabe saw JR in line @ McDonald's and decided he needed advice on how to run his billion dollar corporation. JR said "business is real good" as a nice way of telling this moron to f*ck off and he's still butt-hurt about it.

That's almost exactly what I took from it

If this was indeed written by a group of PSL owners, then more power to them. They have every right to bitch as investors.

That doesn't mean you have to agree with them, but they've put their money where their mouths are and have a message which is worth listening to. How many of you really believe that many PSL owners don't have similar feelings?

Alright guys there is no need to insult other fans. Fans that are willing to buy a personal seat license which might I add are mighty expensive. My family has had our PSL since 1995. We are very passionate fans that will keep our tickets through the good and the bad. I agree with the add. When you know that the PSL's make up a decent amount of the whole organizations revenue then there is a sense of feeling that we deserve a decent and well run team. Which it is clear that the Carolina Panthers organization is not. I love JR but he has made some bad decisions and its not just him it was Hurney and the whole front office. The group that paid for the add I applaud you. There needed to be some action to visibly express the disappointment in the team and not just on the huddle or on wfmz from callers.

Good points, but why the anonymity? Completely destroys credibility...

Pretty much.

That, plus the text makes it sound like it's just some guy with an axe to grind. Thanks to the anonymity, the claim that it's actually a bunch of businessmen with PSLs is about as credible as guys on here saying "everybody is sending me private messages telling me they agree with me."

what a bunch of poorly written whining.

wants JR to be held accountable to some anonymous collection of "business executives", one of which didn't like JR's lack of response to his "words of encouragement" 11 years ago? lol.

when you are the leader of a business in which one phase is hitting the bottom at the moment and you say "business is reeaalllly good" could it be that you are being just a bit facetious? that's my first reaction to JR's alleged comment. it's missing proper context, like what were the "words of encouragement" that "ceo" was trying to offer.

I always find it hilarious how those with absolutely ZERO working knowledge of the NFL try to hand out advice on how to run an NFL franchise. If you arent happy with the team, then fine, be that way. Dont go to the games, dont spend any money on the team, but sit down and shut the f**k up. None of you have ever played, none of you have ever coached, none of you have ever run a team therefor you have less than no knowledge on the subject.

How did these PSL folks feel, when the Panthers had the worse offense in the NFL? They didn't make any noise, when the Panthers couldn't make a single first down and every third down ... was like third and 20 ... that wasn't long ago and lasted 2+ years ...

Sometimes, some people just can't hide their true colors ...

Where were these a$$hats in 2010? Arguably the worst season in our history when management basically decided to tank the season and prepare for a lockout? Either way, if you're gonna take out a newpaper ad, put your name on it and stop being a b-1-t-c-h*....Unless there is an issue of safety or job security, any information with an anonymous source should be used to wipe dog poo

    • The division is most certainly wide open. The Bucs are a problem but Baker Mayfield is and will remain his own worst enemy it's a matter of when not if he has a bad game or even a stretch of bad games. As far as the Panthers they have done an admirable job of trying to address needs as best they can without pulling a Scott Fitterer and getting desperate which has only made us worse off in the past. On the Bryce subject all anyone can really say at this point is we just have to wait and see. This is the year and despite what the Panthers may say publicly doubling down and going all in on WR is as good as any sign anyone should need that they expect Bryce Young to have a very productive and convincing season. The pieces are in place. They aren't perfect but nothing ever will be. Regardless there's honestly no excuse for this staff and this team not to be able to compete in this iteration of the NFC South. Also just want to say this because I can say the hyper defensive posts already being made in here and it's probably going to be a season with highs and lows again but hopefully more highs for sure. But just because there is dialogue about a position group or a player that challenges your preconceived notions or makes you uncomfortable does not make it "hate" or "anti" this player or that player. For some people who talk a lot about nuance you would think this wouldn't need to be stated but that's where we're at.
    • If I was a coach I would preach "Don't let the refs decide the game" because as soon as you let the NFL the chance to help their bottom dollar whether it be teams that make most money or gambling then they will screw the team that doesn't fit their bottom line......is it rigged? No but do they try and make certain narratives happen abso-freakin-lutley. As I stated in a previous thread NFL players are the ones that SHOULD have all guaranteed contracts but the boot lickers on this forum disagree and argue for the billionaires in this world who own these teams, sheep
    • I wont go quite so far as to say games are rigged.  You wouldnt have to work hard to convince me there was the occasional thumb on the scale but outright rigged? nah.   but collusion on the rest of the "business" of football, sure.  No one really believes that the only time the 32 owners act as one is during the negotiations of the CBA do they?
