WE ALL KNOW THAT PEP IS PLAYING MORE LIKE HIMSELF, BUT WE SEEM TO HAVE FORGOTTEN HOW MUCH MIKE RUCKER AND KRIS JENKINS MEANT TO A STOUT D LINE. DO WE HAVE THE PEP WE NEED TO FINISH THIS THING OUT THIS SEASON?:banghead:OR WILL WE DIE OUT AGAINST 3 OF THE BEST OFFENSES IN THE LEAGUE TO FINISH

We will be fine. There is something different about this team. They have heart. We have been missing that in past seasons. Peppers and others will not die down in this crucial stretch. If anything, he will pick it up. Remember, Peppers has lit up the league the past 5 games. If he would have started the season that way, he would be leading the league in sacks, easily. He is only getting better, and I expect nothing else. With Johnson and Hilee Taylor playing so well in reserve roles, there is nothing to worry about.

The Saints have nothing to play for anymore. I expect to win when we travel down to New Orleans for the final game. Not all players will throw in the towel on that team, but certainly some will and they'll just mail it in.

Beating CAR will give them nothing but pleasure whether or not they have something to play for this season. Remember the year they knocked us out of the playoffs.... Do not bank on that, it's still a divisional game and a game of pride which I believe ALL teams still play for regardless of playoff potential. Just ask Detroit, they want a win irregardless..... :nono:

anyone else rooting for detroit to go winless so that we no longer hold the record for single season consecutive losses?

Hell yeah I remember that one. I was at the game in fact. However the Saints were playing for a possible playoff birth. They needed to beat us and they needed the Jets to beat the Rams. The Rams ended up beating the Jets and taking the last playoff spot instead of the Saints. I don't expect the Saints to be completely unmotivated when we play them, but certainly they won't be as motivated as they would if they were fighting for a playoff spot.

    • Read the first line of my post---then read your response.  A few points---I acknowledge that I have not seen the players on the field yet, something you seem to point out in order to attack my opinion--that is what I call going full  Richard Cranium.  I state that he did not get bullied (trade values don't need performance criteria--they make trades without knowing the performance in the draft--should not have to explain that to you).   He did not get bullied like the trade up last year.  He got us a second rounder back.  How is that like Fitterer last year?  I'll wait for you to answer, but I do not think you will--effectively using things called "facts"
    • Seems like a legit HC candidate could wind up in Charlotte.  Lakers and Wizards also need a coach, but there are some big names floating out there. Darvin Ham, Buddenholzer, JJ Reddick, Kenny Atkinson, Jerry Stackhouse… Who ya like to *develop* this young team?
    • While I think it'd be silly for anyone to argue that Mahomes wouldn't have done any better here (and is obviously leagues above Bryce), it's worth mentioning...I watched the Raiders/Chiefs game late last year and man did Mahomes and that offense look like absolute trash in a game where Mahomes was continuously running for his life behind an o-line that couldn't block for poo, while trying to throw to receivers getting zero separation, and getting zero help from his run game.  You know, the norm for Bryce every week.  It really did look like I was watching a Panthers game.  That was a game against Aidan O'Connell with a final stat line of 9/21 for 62 yards 0 TDs and yet Mahomes and the Chiefs managed 7 total points up until 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter in arguably garbage time.
