Ok, it's Friday, and still no GM.

I don't care. I don't need to sign a GM just to sign a GM. We must get the right guy for the job. A GM that wll aid Rivera in finishing the job he started. A GM that can find talent. A GM that will make us relevant for the long haul.

I don't believe that Rivera is gone just because we are getting a new GM. I believe this team is better than it was two years ago. I also don't care how many of my fellow huddlers will whine and complain about keeping Rivera. Or harp over the fact that a GM isn't already on board.

So in closing. I want Rivera back. I want a GM with an eye for talent and don't care how long it takes. We are a team that is close, and we need a GM that agrees with me.

There are guys out there that can get the job done. As long as it is not Beane we will be ok. You folks are too damm funny with your "I know what is best crap."

Either way everyone making the statement that they don't care how long it takes doesn't realize that philosophy only works in a vacuum where we are the only team looking for a GM. The level of passivity we tend to show with decisions while the organization waffles about how they want to handle something will land us with a 2nd tier candidate given the number of other teams who are looking to fill the same spot.

I take a generally accepting stance to how long we take to do things but the GM search should be short and sweet from here. It should certainly not be protracted. And if we want a good GM it had better not be.

Well according to Tom Sorenson's response to my tweet, looks like we will have to be a bit more patient..

Makes sense to me. The soonest I expect to hear about a GM is Friday. If that's the case Rivera will be employed at least until Monday.

      Yea, its a awful year for COY there's like 5 coaches Id as a  non-panther fan say are more worthy than Dave. Ben Johnson is doing similar to Dave by taking a yearly loser into a winner, but da bears are what 9-10 wins right now. Liam Coen has the fuging jags at 9-4 with similar talent as Panthers, I mean they drafted before them this pass year and had nearly zero from a guy they traded up for @#2 hunter.  ugh....Sean Payton&vance has the broncos as the current #1 seed in the AFC..... you know the broncos before the year starts you have the chiefs with mahomes&reid and chargers with herbo&harbs. No one had broncos winning there nor as a the #1 overall seed.  Mike Macdonald has the Seahawks at 10-3 compare that to Panthers 7-6, they are in a blood bath against Rams and 49ers.....shanny has half the team on IR with a 9-4 record.  Chargers are 9-4 with no OL or RB and not much on D.  I have even put colts above Dave and the Panthers, if not for Danny injury...they were on the way and playing great. Just soooooooooooo many HC deserving this year and still more games, but Dave has over played this year for sure. I had them at a firm 2 win team, with 4 being the maybe and 7?!?!?!? being the everything goes right. 7 wins is possible given the shitty NFC south.

      He did everything right but catch the ball. Kept his hands out in front, palms away from his body, watched it in, and then dropped the dam ball! Text book up until he dropped it.

      Just try to enjoy it for what it is. I don't need to convince myself that Young is good. He isn't. If this team makes the playoffs with the cinder block of Young dragging them down all season, even better.  But, some crucial things still need to happen, and being close, and moral victories, and at-least-they-tried isn't good enough.
