As for those speaking on general managers or head coaches without a clue as to what they are talking about, I don't think that is only exclusive to the huddle. Most of the sports reporters out here throwing poo at at the wall every chance they get are glorified huddlers with merely a fancy title. Just look at Joe Person, I mean really.

The reason I'm actually posting though is because I found an interesting article while looking for a recent pic of him.

That's from 4 years ago, I dunno if the photo used is a recent one (as of the article) or not but I'm more inclined to believe that one and the others I found googling that actually look like the confirmed (if outdated) photo from earlier in the thread. Gettleman turns 62 next month according to http://www.nj.com/gi...leman_a_ca.html and if the top pic actually is him, he's the worst looking 62 year old I've ever seen. The interesting part of the article is this:

The old man picture is most definitely not him. And I hate to tell you but I'm pretty sure the one you've got there is actually of Ernie Accorsi.

Other than his bio shot, I've only been able to find two pics. They both look to have been taken the same day (sometime in February of last year) and one is no bigger than a thumbnail.

i just don't understand some people on this board, if Gettleman is the pick that's fine by me. if he can come in revamp the scouting department & understands how to evaluate talent is my only concern. he can always groom someone younger to take his place in time. We don't need a GM with Swagg, we need better football players period
