WE (K)NEED 1st ROUND TALENT ON OUR O LINE. period

All those teams that are deep in the playoffs have one thing in common: MONSTER OFFENSIVE LINE. You can't win without it. You can't be a one man wrecking crew in the playoffs. I see Wilson, Kaapernick use the run as the last option. If you think you can win by hiding the OL behind some gimmick read option you might win a game or two but you gonna burn out your star QB out.

As was noted with the 49ers OL, they have 3 first round pick on that line. Not some patch up scheme. Just bulldozers. The same for all the 4 teams left. I watched Cam and Griffin ran all over the place like it's some novelty act. That $hit look cute for a while then it gets boring when you're not winning(or getting your knee reconstructed).

Brady is a sitting duck in the pocket. It's amazing how someone can be so athletically challenged but he doesn't get touch because of the OL. Just because Cam is athletic doesn't mean he doesn't need the same protection. What Cam bring to the table, like Kaepernick, should be dessert NOT the full course. The Redskins are learning that lesson the hard way. They gave up 3 first round pick for a guy but forgot to protect him thinking they can just wing it.

If the 49ers play NE in the superbowl the difference is gonna be Kaep's mobility since everything else offset each other. Both team have WRs, great OL, good defenses, etc. The determining factor is gonna be Brady's inability to pick up 1st downs when no one is open.

With the new mobile QBs we'll start noticing even more lazy coaches(like Rivera), GMs, or even owners. You know, those organizations that think all they need is a superstar QB and wait for the sportscenter highlights every weekend, sale more tickets but never win a damn thing. How does a coach or GM not know that besides the QB position the OL is the most important is beyond me.

I know Cam is competitive and love winning, if this organization doesn't get this OL straight, hopefullly Cam is smart enough to bail out before his first knee reconstructive surgery. I would hate to watch a talent like Cam get carted of the field trying to pick up a 1st down to save Rivera's job every year.

I wasn't happy when I heard that Lewan and Matthews were going back to school. Joeckel will be long gone by 14 and likely Fisher as well. That leaves Warmack at G (maybe) and Jonathan Cooper available at our pick. I'd like Warmack because he will be the best player available that fills an immediate need but I wouldn't be all that surprised to see us pass on him in favor of a DT and address the offensive line in round 2. In the second I'd be happy with Dallas Thomas, Justin Pugh, Barrett Jones, Fluker, or Oday Aboushi.

The combine will solidify where a lot of prospects will land.

Wouldn't mind hitting up OL in rounds 1 and 2. We have to get tougher there, Byron Bell, while being a decent lineman struggles in the run game and RG has been a problem since Kedric Vincent (Camwaggoners say who dat?) Not saying that Bell is not starter material and could not be a starter, because I like him. Maybe Bell can battle Gross for the other tackle spot but we have to improve with a stud of a G and OT in my opinion to turn the corner. Also it's not easy to have a boss oline, backfield, dline, secondary, wr, qb etc. So don't pretend like coaches and GM's don't think it is important.....pretty fuging sure they do.

Aboshi feet doesnt appear to be fast enough for me. Would much rather have Fluker.

Give me Warmack in the 1st and Fluker in the 2nd and we will have seriously upgraded our oline.

my only issue with that is missing out on Rogers or Hopkins. but then again..... ol > wr

Wouldn't be opposed to a Warmack/ Fluker combo but I just can't see our GM and scouting department going that route with so many other glaring holes on this team (S/CB/DT/WR).

Are you for serious????? You are going to question Aboushi's foot speed and then say Fluker is a better option. Fluker looks like he has damn cinderblocks strapped to his feet when he is against a speed rusher.

i want the best oline for cam period. running and pass protection.

warmak & fluker

or

fisher & thomas (if by gods grace fisher is still on the board)

I like Warmack and Fluker and would be elated for what that would do to our run game if we got both of them. The best protection for Cam is to have our all world backfield running through giant holes. Fluker is by far the best run blocker at tackle in the draft but needs a little work in pass pro....something that I could definitely live with.

    • As the demand for apartments grows parking is becoming limited and it’s sad. I use to tailgate but I just park at uncc deck now and train in and head to rhino market. My tailgate grill hates me.
    • It simply depends on perspective. CMC, when healthy and on the field, has a higher YPC and YPR than LT. Yes, he's been injury prone, but this is simply a "all quarter-century team." There are certainly different stats and different lists. If this were a list or about a team simply based on longevity, then of course LT wins that every time, but some lists are more subjective and nuanced depending upon what they are, and it's not necessarily a reflection upon a person's ability to analyze sports.
    • From my what I have seen the overwhelming majority of people who are considering the notion a possibility don't really want to see it happen but are considering so for a number of reasons. Most importantly availability. Secondly even when he plays the last few seasons he has been red hot or ice cold. Then there is the subject of his defense which to say the least leaves a lot to be desired. Then there is the image of Ball inactive laughing it up on the sideline (while our team was getting the doors blown off) with previous busts who are now relegated to hanging on by a thread in the g league. I think we should be able to recognize with the team going out of their way to put a very strong emphasis on culture and leadership with the conclusion of this years draft that they expect LaMelo to lead the way this upcoming season and that begins with making significant strides and trending in a positive direction in the aforementioned aspects above. It just has to happen.
