Colin Winning The SB

The pressure on RG3, Cam, Wilson will raise MUCH MUCH more

Why? The only people who will be putting pressure on them are the ones who were doing it before Colin's (assumed) ring anyway.

In reality it puts the most pressure on Kaepernick himself. At his age, he's gonna be expected to repeat.

Thing is Kaep has to much talent around him not to win. Cam Netwon hasn't got no where near the talent on offense that Kaep has right now. Kaep has a solid Oline. Some pretty good WRs and good TEs and damn good RBs. Things Cam is missing is Is some solid WRs, a solid oline, and another good TE to go along with Olsen.

It's petty to root against someone because it somehow impacts Cam's legacy. However rooting against them for being our old NFC West rivals is healthy sports hate. If Cam want's to fix how he is viewed in the league he needs to win. It's really not fair because all those teams in the playoffs had more pieces and better coaching than us but that's life.

The only pressure that is going to be put on Newton by a Colin Super Bowl win is by ignorant fans and ESPN. Otherwise I don't see how the pressure on him, and this football team, to win games is going to be any different than it should have been if the 49ers don't win the SB.

That may be, and I'm sure we'll hear stories this offseason about how the Panthers should have taken Kaep #1 overall, but seriously, if Cam and Kaepernick swapped teams the niners would still be going to the superbowl and Kaepernick would have netted us 3-5 wins this year.

Kaepernick is a good quarterback, but I think the 49ers are demonstrating with utter clarity just how important good play in the trenches is. Do you see how much time Kaep generally has in the pocket? How well sealed the holes for their runningbacks are? They have one good receiver and an inconsistent tight end and eat up yards week in week out. How anyone thinks us having another WR would do more for our offense than a good Oline is beyond me.

    • I dont think people realize how hard it is to find a consistent starting QB in the NFL. Byrce will not heart us to a SB but I do think he can manage to get us one or close..go all in on defense and change the Offensive passing game and play calls. I really think our biggest problem is our HC.  Take New Orleans QB for example, switch him and Bryce and I promise you it'll look similar or worse. New Orleans OC is levels ahead of Canales. And as far as the draft goes, in this division with as much rb talent as we face ..the answer...this guy:    Pick up a couple edge rushers in FA along with a corner and plug this guy in Rozeboom's spot. Defense solved. But only if we get a top tier rusher on that dline....jus saying
    • I think I'm going to the game in Los Angeles vs Paraguay, and the England / Croatia game here in Dallas since my mom is British.  For decent seats anywhere in the building(s) it looks like it will be upwards of $7k for the two games.  Insane. Just for perspective, you could buy field level EPL tickets for any one of the top sides in the league, and it would be 10% of the price you'll pay for crappy seats at the World Cup.
    • Meh… I knew this thread would turn into a Bryce/Tua comparison, when they couldn’t be further apart situations.   Dolphins catered there whole offense toward Tua, they brought in a coach that would run a Tua friendly offense, the went in got the best most explosive WR in the NFL and paired him the fastest WR in that years draft. Panthers have done the opposite, they went and got a Pete Carroll disciple who likes to run the ball under center, they drafted big slow WR who got little separation in college. Literally the polar opposite of Bryce’s scouting report coming out of Alabama.   Tua was a decent QB 2 years ago, but the concussions, lack of movement have caught up to him. He never had a great arm to begin with but now since he doesn’t want to get hit he’s taking the whole offense down with him.
