Warmack vs Fluker

Which of these scenarios sounds more reasonable with pick #14?

- Drafting Chance Warmack to play right guard

- Drafting D J Fluker to play right tackle and moving Byron Bell to guard

Warmack. I'm not completely sold on Bell as our future at RT, but I'm not sure how a move inside to OG would fair for him. He's built like an OT and the duties for an OG are much different from that of an OT. Can Bell pull? I don't know.

Warmack looks like a very special player at OG. I know OGs rarely go in the top half of the 1st round, but he's one of those special talents who could warrant it.

Chance Warmack by far. He just clears paths like nobody else and bowls over defensive linemen and linebackers. With us probably going to more of a running attack then that is what I want. Not to mention he is probably the best player in the draft.

This middle of our Oline will look very good for a while with Warmack, Kalil, and Silatolu(who I believe is going to become a VERY good gaurd)

If Warmack isn't there then we need to look at getting Sheldon Richardson or the best WR

Plus, with two guys like Silatolu and Warmack at OG, we should be able to really pound the ball and have two mauling OGs who can both get out and pull. Pass protection gets a lot easier when you can run a lot of play action.

Bottom line is that I'd trade our OL for Alabama's straight up. Right now. Kalil is the only guy who'd make me hesitate on that statement. Gross is old, Silatolu is raw, Hangartner is a backup, and Bell is also a backup on a good OL.

Bell didnt look that well playing RG VS Dallas.

Jeff Otah has scared me off of drafting "fat guys" high. Sure they can play but they have motivation and injury concerns. Not all lineman qualify as fat guys. You can tell the difference.

I would got Left Tackle, RG or something else entirely. We have a "good enough" guy at RT we need to either lock up a major impact position long term or get massive upgrade at a weak position.

I wouldn't take an OG that high. I think Warford from Kentucky is a great OG prospect in the 2nd round.

if all we did for the offensive line was draft warmack and plug him in at RG, we would look instantly better. right guard was a massive problem last year and it made kalil/bell look much worse as a result.

That's a guy I'd love to have too.

Honestly not sure where Fluker and Jones will be rated as prospects at this point. Warmack is rated high first round but so was DeCastro.

Trading down is an option from where we are, of course, but that can be dicey too.
