so Oprah is in Calgary tonight and they've been going on and on and on about how hard it is to get tickets and people are reportedly paying upwards of $1,000 a ticket to go see her.

I just don't get it...but it makes me ask...

who would you love to see and how much would you pay for the opportunity???

Eagles in the Superbowl - Wouldn't pay more than $1K for a ticket and I would want it to be a somewhat decent seat which just isn't going to happen. Tried down in Jacksonville and $1K wasn't even close to the asking price for any ticket. Let's face it...I seriously doubt I have to worry about this one for awhile anyway.

The band Incubus - Just a big fan and depending on the setting of the show I would probably go up to about $250.

Sure not a ton of money but that's the only 2 things I would be willing to pay over face value for.

I had no desire to go to the Superbowl when the Seahawks were there. Being in Seattle when we won the NFC Championship game...what, too soon?...anyway...was an amazing experience. There was no way that was going to be repeated, even with a win, in Detroit, in a stadium full of corporate fugs that the majority of probably couldn't name more than three players on each team!!!

In the 2009 season opener against the Eagles, My wife and I paid $3,000 for roundtrip airfare, 4 night hotel, car rental, 2 sideline tickets and other expenses. I didn't get to see a player within 20 feet.

I got to see Smitty for free in exchange for washing feet.

Sometimes the best things are free.
