I think it'll be tough to not get this team into the playoffs next year with Cam starting to bloom.

Hopefully, we pick up a good red zone receiver this offseason, or maybe we get luckly and Lamont Bryant turns into a player.

In any case, I'd like to see Cam and Dorsey/Shula focus on developing our red zone passing offense. We already are pretty deadly with the run game when we get close. Get Cam and the O up to speed with the red zone passing offense, and we'll be damn near unstoppable in close.

At this point, I think more panther fans would be shocked if Rivera made it through the season.

Looking at the new HC's hired this season...... who was really an upgrade over Rivera, based on the overall situation. It is almost like any hire was just as much, if not bigger question mark than at least going with Rivera next season. I am not saying Rivera is great, I was screaming for his head and would have been all for a new guy if it was the right fit. I just dont think there was one and part of the reason Rivera is being give next year. Without a doubt there were ripple effects with that, and now we will see how it all plays out. Worse case scenario, again, is another horrible start to the season. That happens and the entire staff is gone by week 4.

Worth remembering that both Hue Jackson and Pat Shurmur were willing to take those offers.

Toub? Don't think we had a realistic shot at him. Reid was a bigger draw.

I think the funniest thing will be to see if Rivera strings out a playoff birth, keeps his job, and gets an extension. I think there's a big chunk of people who will have a hard to virtually impossible time convincing themselves Ron is good even if the team starts winning more and gets into the playoffs.

This will be an interesting season to say the least.

I think when Rivera starts winning games that matter those people myself included will be convinced he is good. At this point he has won a few more games then our worst coach in history.

This is what Gettlemen is supposed to be best at. Evaluate talent, and make decisions. Hopefully we have a guy that knows how get it right. Would be nice to be on the right track again.

Expectations were pretty high at the start of the year. Most of the frustration round here stems from those expectations not being met.

Going to be interesting to see the mood of this place after Gettlemen has made a few decisions on players.
