Survey: 27 Percent Of Americans Believe God Helps Decide Who Wins Sporting Events

If you believe in an all powerful God, it's no great stretch to believe that he could affect the outcome of sporting events. Yeah, they're just games, but people's lives often change for better or worse based on the outcome of those games.

Where I think it becomes fallacious would be to believe that God chooses winners based on who's more virtuous/religious/whatever. History wouldn't support that, and honestly neither would the Bible.

Regardless, I have no issue with people believing this idea. Obviously, if you don't believe in God or you believe in a "hands off" god, the point is moot.
