Jacoby Jones vs Anquan Boldin

I heard a rumor (NFL network analyst during a podcast) that both of these players may become cap casualties in order to sign Flacco to his money. This got me to thinking about each of their contributions to the team. If they become FA's this offseason they will each garner massive contracts on new teams. And few if any teams would be able to pay both of them what they deserve at the same time

My question then is if they both are available which is more valuable.

Jacoby Jones speed and big play ability.

or

Anquan Boldin's size, sure handedness and clutchness in the redzone.

your thoughts please.

I just wanted to bump this thread and add new info. According to Fox Sports Boldin has been given an ultimatum of get released or restructure. The report is that he will retire if released, so that probably means that he doesn't expect to restructure since he likely would have kept his mouth closed.

p.s. the number is 7.5 million

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
