PFF is usually pretty good, but....when did Frank Alexander become a DT, lol

Defensive Tackle

Of the seven players to see more than 100 snaps in the Panthers’ defensive tackle rotation, none ended the season with a positive overall grade. After tallying 35 QB disruptions in 361 snaps rushing the passer, Frank Alexander was the best of the group in terms of pass rush being the only DT to grade positively in that area...

I wouldn't mind these pick-ups but if we target a big WR that may come cheap, I'd go with David Nelson. He's 6-5 and had 61 catches for 658 yards, 5 TDs in 2011. He was at Florida when Cam was there as well. The problem is that he's coming off an ACL injury.

I also like Donald Thomas for the OL. He can play all 3 spots on the interior.

love the idea of getting Barden. would be very happy to have Shwartz back.

these guys don't think much at all of our 2nd round pick last year. Is there real hope he's gonna improve

dramatically?

They had him ranked as one of the worst starting guards in the league because of his pass blocking, but he was good in the run game. Hopefully another year in the league with Kalil back beside him making calls, will be enough to get him do average or just below it. Which would be a vast improvement, but not an unreasonable one.

    • Well if we are being realistic doesn't what you just lined out already tell us where we are at? If the rookie UDFA kicker was the savior more often than not and we had a bottom 5 offense despite us having a #1 pick behind center who was billed predraft as a mini Payton Manning is that just going to magically change trajectory overnight with a tougher schedule added in? If we are going to repeat as division champions then it will be with the defense doing the heavy lifting. So keep adding to it.
    • Everyone keeps arguing all these teams have great TE's that made them successful. THATS BS! What makes those teams great is QB play and we don't have that. So again even getting a NON-INLINE TE who can run a fast 40 time isnt going to get us anywhere without competent QB play consistently. Which we don't have by a long shot. So honestly all these great teams have a TE argument doesnt hold water to me.  Mahomes would be nasty without Kelce, Lamar would blow you away without Andrews, does it help? of course any weapon will help but only if you have someone making those correct reads week to week. When we have that then I'd be all in on a game breaking TE but unfortunately we are stuck with one of the most inconsistent starting QB's currently in the NFL.  Not to mention all the TE's mentioned are COMPLETE TE's not just a receiving threat with drop issues which Sadiq does. Argue all you want but nothing will change that fact other than getting a consistent QB week to week in a Panthers uniform which doesnt seem to be happing anytime soon.
    • They don't have guidelines for hand size for the backup QB.
