Troubling Stat

8.44. Percentage of snaps in which Josh Norman was in coverage that ended with him giving up a touchdown or a first down, the most in the league according to Pro Football Focus. But it says far more about Ron Rivera's ability to evaluate talent than it does about Norman, the fifth-round (!) draft choice Rivera started over fourth-year vet Captain Munnerlyn for the first 12 games. If Rivera sticks with that tack, his (supposed) lame duck season might not last past Turkey Day.

Good stuff at the link, although the guy lists us as having our 3rd round pick (which we know is the 49ers pick now). All in all, not a bad preview.

Not bad but our turn around came after we alter the read option. It was broke that is why we ended 7-9.

He contradicts himself too. Says don't go away from read option and then says put Cam under center and utilize the more traditional running..

I do agree with trading down if we can.

Article says Cam has "run and passed for 7,546 yards and 48 touchdowns" when he has run and passed for 9,367 yards to be exact and 62 touchdowns.

Oh and the article says we have 11.8 million in cap space.

You can do both of those things....

Read Option is primarily out of the shotgun or pistol formation. So No you can't do both.
