Game 57: Charlotte Bobcats (13-43) @ Los Angeles Clippers (40-18)

Charlotte - 45

LA Clippers - 54

Charlotte played well for the first quarter and a half..or really the first quarter and 7/8 of the second. The clippers went on a furious run to end the quarter to bloat the advantage to nine. Charlotte did a good job of slowing the clippers into a half court team and running only when it was appropriate for their advantage.

If charlotte wants to run up and down with LA they will get blown out....example is the last three min of the second quarter.

Mullens is playing better, kemba is shooting well, and henderson is playing lights out. Biz is struggling, taylor has missed his few shots, and MKG has been nonexistent.

Also, no Ben Gordon so far..interesting. Here's to the 'Cats making adjustments to keep the Clips' fast break somewhat in check in the second half.

As much as I like guys like Marcus Smart and CJ McCollum, I'm to the point where I want us to get Noel and Bennett. Those guys actually would pair well together and would give Kemba a couple guys that can play a little bit of D (specifically against alley oops) and catch passes and finish (catching the pass first). Sign Henderson up for another year, trade him for whatever you can get or let him walk (either works) and go all out for Wiggins.

    • One thing I didn’t consider is how thin this draft is at quarterback. That’s going to drive up the market for backups and borderline starters like Willis, Jones, and Jameis Winston. Because of that, we’ll most likely be priced out of the market for this tier of backup.
    • We've already beat the #1 seed twice, why not one more? (Packers and Rams were both #1 seed at the time we played)
    • My determination has come down to this. Based on recent QB history, has Bryce's improvement warranted 50m per season? Lamar is the only original team QB to play on his 5th year. The others took major deals at the end of the 3rd, before or just after the option was signed. Chances are, we're getting asked for the same.  I haven't rooted for Bryce to fail. I've rooted for him to succeed so big that them signing that extension would give me no worries about our future at QB at all. We haven't seen that level of play consistently that this year. We haven't seen it in the past 6 games.  We're about to be at a threshold with Bryce and I worry about what this front office will do. We have a history of bad decision making and Morgan has been part of that group making those decisions. I don't want Carolina in the same boat Arizona and Miami are right now. It has nothing to with being right. It has to do with wanting to win for more than a single season. We've never had back to back winning seasons. Faith in their abilities is not warranted at this point.
