i don't see how anyone could say Lafell was not reliable, cause he was very reliable. Is he a number 1 WR no, but thats not cause he wasn't reliable, he just doesn't have great speed to break away and is not the designed go to guy in most plays. But he has surprised me on his hands to be honest, i thought he was supposed to be terrible in the hands department coming out. Now give lafell Murphy's legs and we are golden. I still want a number 1 wr to be addressed in the draft.

Yeah I agree LaFell is very clutch WR and is pretty awesome on 3rd down. Still hoping he takes a leap this year and makes 1k.

If Barden/Hixon come here, it'll probably be to take Murphy and Edward's spots. Murphy dropped quite a few passes last year, and while he has the intangibles and friendship with Cam, he's late enough in his career he would have broken out if it was in him to do so.

Depends on how Gettleman feels about Gettis. He showed so much potential in 2010...maybe that ACL injury was the nail in the coffin for him.

Murphy brings nothing more to the table than LaFell does, and his hands are more suspect. Carolina would be wise to bring in a high draft pick potential #1 guy. Steve Smith is 34 years old for crying out loud. Can't rely on him forever.

Just a follow up on this...

unless they let him test and sign him back at a cheaper rate... This is what He posted on his Facebook Account...

It's been a True #Blessing to have been apart of #PantherNation this past season. So i thank Coach Rivera for the opportunity to play in such a great city and for a great team. So im going to see what's next for me in Free agency tomorrow

Don't see it on his "Official" Twitter, and you know how Facebook can be. But, this is what I saw before work tonight.

Take it for what it's worth.. but it sounds like nothings been offered or talked about the way that's written.

Outside of 89, Lafell, and Pilares, we need some big time receiver help... And with Gamble gone and looking like Captain will follow, what is the highest priority now? receiver, corner, dt, og ??

I wonder....

Do we think we have something in Lamont Bryant (WR) on the PS? Do we think Gettis can step up in year 4?

I think we need a WR, but DT has to be our #1 priority, with CB a close second. RG is third, in my opinion, followed by WR and S.

Could we go to battle with what we have at DT? No,

Could we go to battle with what we have at CB? No,

Could we go to battle with what we have at RG? No,

Could we go to battle with what we have at WR? Yes.

Could we go to battle with what we have at S? Yes

If the question is, "Could we win the battle" with what we have at each of the positions mentioned, I would say "no" to each. We could win the game, but the individual matchups at these positions would be losses.

    • I mean, you probably should've waited after the season is over before "going there," that way we we'd have four more games of comparison and discussion. Don't get me wrong, I occasionally go out on a limb, but Bryce just had his best game and has given people hope (which could realistically be false hope), and Shedeur just doesn't have that many games under his belt (even if he does look promising), one of them being against the Titans. No harm in being patient and letting things play out.  If you noticed, Tepper seems to be taking a wait-and-see attitude, and he didn't mention Bryce in the clip in the other thread. I'm still highly skeptical of Bryce (and glad that Sanders has shown an ounce of success), but the reality is that we have to let things play out. The Sanders train left long ago (if it was even here). But,there are more realistic options if Bryce turns back into a frog.
    • imagine thinking that talking about our next opponent is "gassing up" someone.... and then lying about basic info because it's not flattering to the league's worst starting QB since he arrived.  as a starter he is 2-3 (just a fact) as a starter vs Bryce this year pass yards per game - Shough rush yards per game - Shough comp % - Shough  QB rating - Shough yards/per attempt - Shough and Shough is only good for a 2nd year rookie thrust into the gig on a bad team.   He is getting graded on a curve of what he is.  And he won the last head to head vs us, and looked like the best QB on the field that day.   there are a billion red flags when it comes to Bryce Young.  This is just another.
    • Imagine gassing up a 2-4 QB for a terrible division rival with stats worse than our QB in every category except raw yards per game
