i see you like shitty ass fine young male ass kanye dress. only thing hes bold enough to do is go up to a lil white country girl and grab her mic.

i dont believe his gangstsa act...lol (besides pusha t is a better mainstream lyricist than conny anyway)

Kanye is so dumb he got a fugging prostitute pregnant, who has sucked everyones dickk in the industry(music,sports, film....) , and hes happy about it....what a dumbass. oh yeah hes real street smart....LOLOLOLOLOLOL

I'm not trying to force HIPHOP or any music on people, im just giving people the definition of real hip hop. So they can stop making ignorant comments about hip hop as a genre.

you can listen to any music you like..i dont give a fugk....and by the way if you have seen me post in the lounge, you would know i listen to more than hip hop.

shitt ill listen to some pop rap at a party for the beat....its feel good music. but im not going to sit here and tell you that it's hip hop because its not.

music as a whole has been watered down anyways, but that's another story. HA!

His music is still good though, that's what matters the most

So keeping it on the real, after listening to my song, do you think I at all have a chance to be in the same conversation as some of these mainstream/underground rappers you speak of, or am I just an "eminem with no talent." and this song is "absolute garbage?"

Yes master. Please teach me about DeLaZoo and Dymez and Prince Ea and Mack and Traphic and DFD and A-1 and D Pryde, I need to learn more!! I cannot be a rookie, I wont stand for it!!

You already seem to be good enough at googling names so I'll just let you think you're the shitt. I remember what it was like being 17.

Just google Brother Ali....

Clicked on whatever song came up first on lyrics link...

got this...

Took him almost to the end of one breath to talk about himself.

Pure poetry. He is a regular TS Elliot

Okay, tell me if you can decipher this jay-z lyric.

Dark Knight feeling, die and be a heroOr live long enough to see yourself become a villain?I went from the favorite to the most hatedBut would you rather be underpaid or overrated?
Not all rap is terrible, people seem to dismiss things they can't understand.

I'm eclectic, I'll listen from anything to Jay-z, Kanye, Frank Ocean, Kendrick Lamar to The script, OneRepublic, The fray, Alabama Shakes, Daughtry, Adele, etc... because I know all music usually has a meaning or a message behind it.

You think thats deep? Ripping off an idea from a movie and putting it into spoken word? Is the bar set this low now?

Read this, and tell me if you don't see a huge yawning chasm of poetic quality...

The Soldier

Rupert Brooke

If I should die, think only this of me:

That there's some corner of a foreign field

That is for ever England. There shall be

In that rich earth a richer dust concealed;

A dust whom England bore, shaped, made aware,

Gave, once, her flowers to love, her ways to roam,

A body of England's, breathing English air,

Washed by the rivers, blest by suns of home.

And think, this heart, all evil shed away,

A pulse in the eternal mind, no less

Gives somewhere back the thoughts by England given;

Her sights and sounds; dreams happy as her day;

And laughter, learnt of friends; and gentleness,

In hearts at peace, under an English heaven.

Really, it is night and day.

most music of most genres has terrible lyrics. rap is especially bad because most of the people claimed to have good lyrics would fit in very well in an 8th grade poetry class.

but it doesn't really matter, honestly. there are only 1 or 2 musical acts i've ever listened to specifically because the lyrics are amazing. it's not the sum of the experience.

I honestly don't. It depends on who is writing it and the overall vision or message they are trying to convey. That was an awesome poem though.

How does this sound to you?

My issue isn't televised, and you ain't gotta tell the wise

how to stay on beat, because our life's an instrumental

This is physical and mental, I won't sugar-coat it

You'd die from diabetes if these other niggas wrote it

And everything on TV just a figment of imagination

I don't want no plastic nation, (dread) that like a Haitian

While you motherfugers waiting, I be off the slave ship

Building pyramids, writing my own hieroglyphs

See, his meaning behind it went waaaayyy over your elitist head.

Jay is using Dark Knight(Harvey Dent) as an example, Jay is saying had he died at the height of his career like 2pac or Biggie, who were claimed heroes of hip-hop after their deaths, his legend would have grown, but the more longer he lives, the more haters he attracts...so he's now witnessing himself become a villain.
