Who's your "prime target"?

Cool. But for clarity, do you mean at 14 or on a trade down?

And don't forget ya gotta defend it. Make your case.

With the 44th pick. See most of the other wr's before him gone and he will be the best wide recevier available at the time. For defending it. Look at his stats the past 2 year. :P

For th 14th BPA or Austin. Doesnt matter to me.

In the first. I hope they Target Keenan Allen. Obvious reason. Need that #1 wide out of the future. Sheldon Richardson. Get that inside piece that has been needed for a long time now. Desmond Trufant. Get a top corner to grow with that young secondary.

Another option would be trading down with a team with two picks in the first this year.

Finally, BPA.

I think the BPA's will be Cooper, Austin or Allen. IMO there's like a 50% chance Cooper will be there -- but even if he is, you don't know if Gettleman wants to draft a guard that high. The Giants haven't drafted an O-lineman high in a long time. I think Allen's the best pure WR prospect in the draft. He has good size, good speed and perhaps the best ball skills in the draft. The injury is all that worries me. We all know how much it sucks for your 1st round pick to get hurt. Austin is not your average receiver, but he's a dynamic weapon with game-breaking ability. Right now, I might favour Allen just because he has the potential to replace Smitty as a quintessential no.1.

I'm on the Star. L bandwagon, but I'm pretty sure we won't get him...and I will be happy regardless if recent history repeats itself

2011 - Patrick Peterson bandwagon, picked Cam (Glad I was wrong)

2012- Fletcher Cox bandwagon, picked Kuechly (Glad I was wrong)

    • Anybody got a clue what this is supposed to mean? 🤔
    • I figured as much. Hopefully he's just resting up and will be ready for round 3 (if we make it that far.)  Sucks to see. Hes been our best defender (besides Slavin) in the playoffs so far.
    • I've never bought into the idea. There's just too much at stake, even for front office people. Jobs are lost, trust is lessened, lives are altered, reputations are damaged and more. Throw in that the average front office person isn't as young as the average player. They may not have ten years ahead of them to salvage their careers. Any given year could be their last. The only person not guaranteed to suffer some direct form of consequence from losing is the owner, and even there you still have problems (fan reaction, team reputation, revenue, etc). You've also got massive egos in play on that front so it can get personal. Mind you, I do accept that there are "fire sales" in order to build for the future, but even those have consequences. They don't exactly guarantee success either. Poorly run teams often just wind up in the same circumstance a few years down the road. Sorry gus, but my tinfoil hat just hasn't fit me for quite a while.
