Was anyone else impressed with the sports science they did on him?

He's always been a beast in my eyes...

I like Williams. He's big and strong enough to man the nose, but at the same time he possesses the athleticism and pass rushing ability of an undertackle. Has some consistency issues, but when he's on, he's probably the second best tackle in the class. There's a lot of talk about him rising on draft day and being a top twenty pick, and we could certainly do a lot worse in the first.

Pie for posting the vid. I have him currently as my second ranked DT behind Star. Not impressed with Floyd or Richardson who actually come in after Star, Sly, Short, and Jesse Williams on my board. Sly's ability to play the nose or the three at a high level is a real asset.

A third down pass rush with Johnson, Sly, Hardy and Alexander would be pretty awesome. As would the run-stuffing of Johnson, Dwan, Sly, Hardy.

May be a reach but he is a pretty good player. If that crazy trade with SF everyone is talking about goes through then I would love to take him at 31.

5. SYLVESTER WILLIAMS, North Carolina (6-2½, 311, 5.01, 1-2) - Grew up in a tough section of St. Louis, then played his one and only year of high school ball in Jefferson City, Mo. Worked for a year before sustaining his career in junior college. Started all 25 games at weak-side DT for Tar Heels. "The most solid D-lineman that has no chance of busting, solid as a rock, is Sylvester Williams," one scout said. Goes by "Sly." Registered 96 tackles (20½ for loss) and 8½ sacks.
