Floyd was a media creation whom most people hadn't heard of until the combine. I want names I'm familiar with from their success on the field.

i didn't want anything to do with Floyd and it's mighty telling that he slid so far.

There was an article on here recently that stated scouts had said Floyd was a media creation and was not as good as people was making him out to be. I guess the article had some truth to it.

I don't buy the whole "media creation" thing.  He slid because elite OL got pushed up, and probably because some teams were worried about his shorter arms. The kid can play though.

I was probably the first person to mentioned the possibility of grabbing a TE like Eifert or Ertz in this draft.

No you weren't. You kept saying "OMGZ VACCARO/ tavonzzzz iz da best" "I muzt chnge mi pic 2 him" then towards the end leading up to the draft you started getting on the floor and sucking of star.

How is that funny?

Floyd is a damn good DT and many of us would have been satisfied with him.

I was probably the first person to mentioned the possibility of grabbing a TE like Eifert or Ertz in this draft. I didnt even mentioned them as a 1st rounder, just a 2nd rounder if they were to fall that far. And, people were already lining up to gash my throat. Now? Now, the reports start coming out that we were high and Eifert and everyone is going to act like they want him over a player like Floyd is laughable.

I wasn't trying to gash your throat, I was just saying I was down on Floyd the entire draft season and I truly would have preferred Eifert over Floyd.  I hated the Floyd hype machine, I think he might be solid, but even if he was available at #44 I would have preferred Short (or Hankins) over him.  Maybe even Brandon Williams or Jessie Williams too.

He's a dumbass because one player is clearly better than the other. Ones a bust and one was the best TE in the draft. I kinda pity you for not knowing that. Common knowledge

What?

Neither have played a single down yet and you've already labeled one a bust and one the best TE in the draft?  That's not common knowledge, that's just pure idiocy.

    • And really, it should be 4 reasons with the last one being that there were ZERO other offensive weapons on that team in 2024, opposing defenses only had to worry about one player all year long and they constantly double and triple teamed him right off the snap all season.  In 2023, we still had Jacob Cowing who had 90 catches that year and was drafted by the 49ers last year, so teams couldn't just send everyone after T-Mac on every passing down.
    • I wonder if the Hornets view Kon and McNeeley more as forwards and plan to ship off Green/Okogie/Smith for center help. I hope they don’t plan to ship off Sexton as I like what he brings to the team. (2) G - Ball, Mann, Simpson (two-way) (3) G - Sexton, Dinwiddie, Connaughton (3) F - Miller, Knueppel, McNeeley, James (two-way) (3) F - Bridges, Williams, Salaun (3) C - Diabate, Kalkbrenner, Plumlee
    • 3 main reasons he was better in 2023 and none of them concern me for his NFL prospects 1. Totally new coaching staff that was a massive downgrade and had god awful play calling and designs, the entire fan base was ready to run the coaching staff out of town a month into their first season and the play caller ended up getting changed because it was so bad. 2. Along with the staff downgrade, his QB played significantly worse after being the Pac 12 Freshman of the Year in 2023.  Constantly missed T-Mac when he was wide open, lost out on a number of TDs and a good amount of yardage, half the time T-Mac still almost made miraculous catches on the bad passes too. 3. He hurt his ankle over the summer and missed all of fall camp only to return to practice a few days before the season started and I think he had to deal with it all season long and was slightly limping at times mid season too, but kept fighting through it to still be a 1st team All American.
