God, I love this Draft!

Gettleman's hand-print is all over this draft. This is a NYG draft if anyone hasn't noticed it. Rivera had no voice in the draft process imo. This is Gettleman building for the future and telling Rivera to work with the pieces if he still want his job. We're getting close to having an "IDENTITY" on this team. "Big guys on the trenches that play with nastiness."

So what with the, "Gettleman is an old school GM". That's exactly what we need to establish if we want to start winning. Get better on the defense and start utilizing the running game to take pressure off Cam.

P.S. if anyone hasn't check the NYG's draft yet, they took Big Jon Hankins (2nd) and Damontre Moore (3rd). Does that look familiar to someone's draft?

Let's stay in STYLE!

Rivera had no input? You didn't hear the post-draft press conference, where Gettleman talked about taking Barner because of input from the coaches about his ability to fit the offensive scheme? Take Rivera's comments about wanting a scat-back, put two and two together, and you'll see Rivera had a hand in this draft.

The way I see it is, Gettlemen said hes got the first 3 picks, Rivera gets the 5th and 6th and Shula is to remain in the corner coloring.

    • People must have someone in their crosshairs to be considered real fans. Someone on the roster must be the one to carry the brunt of the criticism and that is currently XL. He literally is going into year three on a rookie contract, with a still mediocre QB, and people want him cut or traded. He is extremely physically gifted, had some big moments, struggled as well, but we shouldn't give him a chance to make the next step. We literally had games where our QB threw for a whopping 54 yards, and people are yelling bye XL over a bottom roster WR move who we are clearly just kicking the tires on here. Boy, that accent and awe shucks nature must really piss people off. Or maybe they are mad because he isn't Jamar Chase out of the gate. Either way, it is weird how quickly the hate and general dislike has ratcheted up for this guy this quickly.
    • Somehow we lost our starting LT, our backup LT, our backup to the backup, all gone at once. And we are out there spending huge contracts on edge rushers.
    • tuka... it's the Jets. Garret Wilson had 395 yards in 8 games. Adonai Mitchell had 301 yards in 8 games. Metchie had 256 yards in 9 total games played down the stretch when the games didn't matter anymore, and he got there in the middle of the season. He also had the most YAC in the WR room. His game film looks better than anyone on this team not named TMac, and end of the season Coker. Not saying he's a super star right now, but he improves Caolina's WR room.
