The top video, the first guy that talks (the Pinky, I forget his name off the top of my head somehow) picks the Panthers.

In Cam We Trust(?)

Carolina Panthers (7-9)

Fun fact: In the Cam Newton era, the Panthers are 9-3 after Week 12. Their record before Week 12? 4-16. This is why the Panthers get their own category. They're a bizarro team led by a bizarro QB. Newton has been an NFL enigma, and it's difficult to get a grasp on which way this franchise is heading because of it.

We'd stick Carolina in the tier above, but Newton already has gone stretches where he's looked like the most dynamic player in football. Year three will be a fascinating one.

From the NFL Media research team: Four teams finished with an offense and defense ranked in the Top 12 -- the Broncos, Texans, 49ers ... and Carolina Panthers. Go figure.

how many seasons has the panthers been picked as a sleeper team?

it's time for them to stop hitting the snooze button and wake the fug up.

Well - this year we were upgraded (downgraded, sidegraded, road graded, some other sort of graded) to bizzaro!  Bonus points for being completely impossible to predict or figure out?

    • Even if he beats the odds, returns midseason  and plays like he did last year it won’t warrant a big contract extension.
    • It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth
