I quit last july for 4 months, one stupid ass night i drank 6 too many shocktops and fell back down the hole. I already have gotten 3 teeth root canaled and crowned, so that is my motivation to stop. I should be in my physical prime but instead i wake up every morning feeling like a buffalo slept on my chest and im wasting $80/week due to this dangerous habit.

Ive got 3 paid days off im gonna use this week, i do 80% of my smoking at work so it wouls probably be best if i didnt go in there for a while.

I'm fighting still, you?

Yep, today was pretty rough. But i made it through. I had some insane urges to smoke today. I read somewhere day 3 is the worse. Hopefully so. Nicotine should be out of my body completely by tomorrow, so i'm pretty stoked. Already breathe, smell and taste better. Crazy.

I'm looking forward to not paying $5+ a pack.

I'm not sure if this will help you, but whenever i'm at home and craving a cig. I go outside and I throw a baseball up in the air until the craving passes. Sounds dumb but it has helped me a lot.

Going outside might make it worse. I didn't smoke in the house and several of my neighbors sit on their porches and smoke. Thanks for the suggestion

I used Floppin's advice. I put myself in my trigger situations and didn't smoke. It will make me forget about cigs faster. I went out to the bars this weekend, I drove around, I sat outside on my front porch for long durations.  I just want to be completely over them, I don't wanna not do things because there will be smokers around.

In an hour and a half It'll be a full week for me.

Trust me guys this is a long journey. Like I mentioned earlier I made it 3 weeks a couple months back and caved when the stress reached a boiling point (lost $2300 over some b.s. at work).

Just don't ever cave and say I am having just 1. (Remember you never want to go through this torturous detox again!!)

Remember those things stink to hell to non-smokers which you will soon find out if you haven't already.

Stay strong and keep a pack of gum handy for the next couple weeks.

    • I think the book has been fairly written on Darnold, and by and large stays true. He can be rattled by pressure, and will lose his composure. If a team can get to him and have something go wrong in the plan, the mistakes and errors will pile up. Rams have a better offense, Seahawks sport a better defense. Should be a good 1.
    • Not a defense of him...an understanding of the problem. (something you seem to be lacking right now) 🙄 Bryce in a Canales offense is not an example of a stylistic mismatch, but I can give you one if that helps. When he was playing for the Panthers, Cam Newton sat under OC's running Coryell type offenses. Newton had a big arm and was a strong runner. He fit into that sort of attack very well. Then he goes to New England, where at the time they were running an Earhardt-Perkins system (similar to WCO In a lot of what they do but very different terminology). The Patriot offenses back then were heavily based on timing and rhythm style passing, not something that Newton was especially well suited for. So he washed out at New England, not because he had poor ability (his abilities had been on display here on a regular basis) but because he didn't fit what they wanted to do with their offense. I always go back to Jeff Garcia as one of the prime examples of this issue. Garcia in a WCO looked like a world beater. Put him in any other scheme though...yikes!  So again, Young's issues here have nothing to do with any failure to mesh with Canales. Hell, is say Canales has actually done pretty well at adapting his system to who he has rather than trying to jam square pegs into round holes. Again, it doesn't take an elite level of football knowledge to get this. It's pretty basic. But if you're not even capable of understanding what the real problem is, how are you going to know you to find the right solution? 🤔
