Catfishing tonight....

In my experience, c livers get slimy and won't stay on the hook once they fully thaw and are in the water, especially since you'd be drifting. Easiest thing has been shrimp unless you are looking to catch some hawgs, then the cut bait might be best

fuck chicken livers unless you want to catch a bunch of 6 inch channels all night

go to bilo and get some cheap fresh fish and use that.  tilapia or catfish filets.

or learn to use a cast net and get your man card

I cast pretty well, but finding shad at night isn't easy on lake norman.

try casting around brightly lit docks

i've caught some big cats on farm raised catfish chunks from bilo, but the bite is really slow

i just don't like livers because i don't see anything but channel cats pulled in on them.  but they do give a fast bite if that's what you're after.

My buddy used to wrap then in pantyhose to keep them on the hook.

Too much effort imo

shrimp is a huge hit-or-miss bait.  works pretty good around the mouth of creeks.   feast or famine with shrimp.   but you could say that about any bait.

i like it better than chicken livers that's for sure.

i've had some pretty good luck with cheap pork hot dogs too

i almost forgot about my goto bait for when i do want to catch a bunch of channels.   garlic parmesan breadsticks from dominos or papa johns left sitting around for a few hours.  believe it or not they will kill that poo all night long.

catfish are the stoners of the fish world

    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
    • Nah we just talking about giving a platform and normalizing predators (who both beat women) opinions and celebrating it if it fits your narrative.  If that's fun I'm fine being a miserable fug by not supporting P.O.S like that. N b4 you call me a libtard or some other dumb ish know I'm an Anarchist/Libertarian and believe both these dudes should get a complete ass whooping (at min) or something worse for what they have done to women in this world.
