Panthers in ATL - December 28-29

If you're a Panthers fan in Charlotte and want to go down to ATL for the game vs. the Falcons, we have 12 spots left with our group on our bus.  Or if you're from another city and are planning on going and would like to sit with 80+ people at the game then let me know and I can grab you a ticket when I purchase them at the end of the week.  For the first time in the 6 years we've been going they're already close to being sold out, so we are pulling the trigger on tickets ASAP.

The schedule for the bus trip is:

  • Leave Charlotte at 9am on Saturday
  • Bar crawl through Buckhead on Saturday
  • Hotel stay Saturday night
  • Breakfast Sunday morning
  • Tailgate
  • Make a ridiculous amount of noise and make zero friends during the game
  • Bus ride home

Thanks MadHatter for posting that for me.

It's definitely a good deal.  The best part is sitting together with that many people in that crappy GA Dome.  When you're occupying 4-5 whole rows in a section you tend to make quite an impression.  Now...if we could only get the Panthers to win a game there, then we could really make some noise instead of walking out with our tail between our legs.

I haven't added it yet, but we can also do a "Ticket & Tailgate" if you'd rather just meet us down there instead of catching a ride.  That will be $70 and it includes a ticket to the game and the tailgate party (all you can drink beers included).

Will there be food at the tailgate?  Or, just beer?

I am thinking long and hard about making the trip.

I went to the Chicago playoff game a few years back with a chartered group and had a blast.

We don't do food at the tailgate because we eat breakfast at the hotel and the caterer costs add quite a bit to the trip. We have beers and a DJ though...and we play the Panthers' fight song an obnoxious amount of times.

    • Why would we not be contenders? As long as Bryce plays like he did when he came back, we absolutely can be contenders...that is...   if the defense plays better... which is why adding someone like Ramsey when we have a QB on a rookie deal and can afford it makes sense IMO. No one thought of the Commanders being contenders last year or the Texans the year before and so on and so forth. Top-end QB play, especially for a guy on a rookie deal, changes everything in terms of timelines. Regardless of what this board thinks, I hope the front office is willing to he aggressive in thks window we currently have with a rookie QB deal
    • Would absolutely love to have him. I dont think he would require more than a 5th rounder. The biggest thing with his contract is the amount of guaranteed money. As long as they can work out and scenario where the Panthers aren't on the hook for a lot of that, I think it's a no-brainer. The Panthers can come up with $20M at the drop of a hat with restructuring Moton's contract, so there definitely isn't an issue from a money perspective. Jaycee paired with Ramsey along with Mike Jack would give us one of the best CB groups in the league. The one caveat I see is that safety still remains our biggest current weakness. We need a starting caliber S more than CB, simply put. But adding someone like Ramsey would be amazing as long as the compensation made sense. Ramsey could also play for FS snaps also. I also dont understand this nonsense about being seasons away. We have a QB on a rookie deal who was playing at an elite level to end last season. Within reason, now is absolutely the time to make moves like trading for Ramsey.
    • He'd be a huge upgrade for this year, but we're still not going to be contenders with him and I'd rather keep the cap space to roll into next season to spend on a younger player who can be an impact starter for us for the next 3-5 years while we're hoping to contend.
