Panthers Rookies that can make an Impact

Pretty good read on yahoo searched didn't find it.

Kenjon Barner, RB - I know the Panthers have a great one-two punch already with DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart in the backfield, but both of those guys have shown their proneness to injuries. Barner really thrived his last two seasons at Oregon. His junior year he ran for 939 yards and scored 11 touchdowns. He came back his senior season and ran for 1,767 yards and 21 touchdowns. He ran for over 100 yards in six games last season. Four of those games he ran for over 190 yards. Carolina has a fast paced offense, similar to what Barner flourished in at Oregon. Barner is exactly what the Panthers are looking for in terms of a change-of-pace back.

Star & Kugbila will have the most impact.

I think Short may have just as big of an impact as Star just depends on how well we rotate the DTs in and out.

Kugbila providing he starts no later than after our bye week.

I would say that Klien, Barner and Lester will be solid contributors.

Especially Klien.  I think with his versatility he could spell Davis or Beason just to keep them fresh.

I always liked Barner watching Duck games but i cant see him getting too many touches, you never know though. One thing i DO know is, if he does get the ball, its a good chance he takes it to the house.

I think star and short stand out but wont put up numbers so much of the fact that they open the flood gates for CJ and Hardy

I think kugbila will have a real impact on an exercise bike.

So three weeks in May and June have given the ability to make general statements like this concerning the regular season?  What is your secret?  Tarot cards?

    • The question was if you were Morgan what would you do with the team since Bryce is a bust.  I don't agree at all he is and I certainly don't blame the fans for his play. Fans being short sighted and dumb is totally separate from the question posed and in no way did I say or indicate that my fault of any coaching or on field play is the fault of said fans. My answer is I would Keep Pounding and methodically building.  If Bryce turns out to be a bust, then yes, horrible mistake.  The trade capital makes it even worse.  Just because we traded up for Bryce doesn't change anything now.  We begged for a methodical build and now we are doing it.  Right now.  And all it took was one bad game after all the progress last year for you to fold. If the Jags game is just another dip in the Bryce/Canales stock on the way up then the plan is still working. Canales, Morgan and company are one year in.  Building methodically.  Improving overall.  One bad game doesn't prove me right or you wrong.  And Bryce's play, which was bad, in that game isn't the last straw saying, yep, now there's is zero chance.  Let's cut him, maybe fire the coach, look for a new GM and start all over again.
    • It's so bizarre. It is the immediate go to for some people. They act like this is the prime Cam years when people were attacking him despite changing our culture making us relevant across the league and more often than not keeping us competitive. This is not that. This has not been that for a long time. And Bryce Young is at this point in time a downgrade to every QB we have started since Cam. But the fans are the problem!
