nfl.com users have the ability to vote overrated or underrated on each member of the NFL Top 100.

First thing that jumps out at me is that #1 player Adrian Peterson is being voted currently as "underrated".

Others that I find interesting:

#2 Peyton Manning - overrated (still a great QB, but #2 in the league? i have to agree here)

#6 Aaron Rodgers - underrated (agree)

#7 Aldon Smith - overrated (agree)

#8 Arian Foster - underrated (disagree)

#15 Robert Griffin III - overrated (AGREE)

#17 Matt Ryan - overrated (AGREE)

#21 Reggie Wayne - underrated (disagree)

#23 Andrew Luck - overrated (AGREE)

#31 Clay Matthews - underrated (disagree)

#33 Patrick Peterson - overrated (agree)

#35 Dez Bryant - underrated (DISAGREE)

#43 Eli Manning - underrated (agree)

#46 Cam Newton - underrated (AGREE)

#51 Russell Wilson - underrated (agree)

#53 Champ Bailey - underrated (DISAGREE)

#64 Alfred Morris - underrated (agree)

#71 Trent Richardson - underrated (DISAGREE)

#76 Matthew Stafford - underrated (agree)

#79 Luke Kuechly - underrated (AGREE)

#82 Colin Kaepernick - overrated (agree)

#84 Steve Smith - underrated (AGREE)

#93 Anquan Boldin - underrated (agree)

Is this sarcastic? Depending on your answer I'll give you pie.

Not even a little bit. 1814 passing yards for 10 TDs and only 3 INTs, plus another 415 yards and 5 TDs on the ground for a QB rating of 98.3 and a Super Bowl appearance in 7 starts is pretty damn good. Considering that QB is by far the most important position in football, I have no problem with him being #82.

Then again, I'm not one of the Panthers fans who feels threatened when any QB other than Can Newton receives praise. There are other good QBs not named Can Newton. I'm damn happy with our guy and it doesn't bunch up my panties when others are happy with their guy.

I wouldn't go as far as saying Kaepernick is overrated, he's got a bright future. That squad that he's on is fuging stacked though. The same one that Alex Smith lead to the NFC championship and a few bad plays from the Superbowl in 2011. It's a legitimate question to ask would the 49ers had won it all last year with Alex Smith instead?

How is Steve Smith or Luke Kuechly being underrated? Newton isn't either but I digress only because you have to pick between the two, if you choose to pick at all.

Kuechly had a monster rookie season where he is lapped by other rookies on this list. He deserves higher ..Smitty about right.

Cam is right where he should be with Luck and RG3 overrated bc of 1st year success.

AP is neither underrated or overrated, he's #1 plain and simple. He doesn't garner the attention of Kaepernick or Wilson or RG3, so he fits the bill. Players love and respect him and he's a great dude. He's been injured how many times? And rushed for 2000 yards. He's the prototypical player of htis generation.

I wonder about that as well.  I do not think Alex Smith is as bad as everyone else does, but I guess we will find out this year.
