Scot, I married a girl 10 years younger than me.  At the baseball field I have had multiple FAMILIES state, "It is so nice to see your father takes such interest in your son's development", to my wife. 

I feel you, but you look like a bloody Irish to me.  I am a Scot by God.  You look a little mixed.

Irish?  None that I know of. A little German somewhere a few generations back though.Girlfriend is part Irish :unsure:

 

I probably looked more Scottish back when my hair used to turn red in the summers (till it all turned grey).

 

Actual age difference between us is about nine years, but she gets mistaken for mid-twenties.  A few times even early-twenties.

 

If someone guesses wrong on me, it's always in the other direction :(

If there's one lesson I've clearly learned in my life, it's that ya gotta be attracted to the woman on the inside.

No matter how hot she is on the outside, if she's hell to live with, beauty loses its appeal.

Happy to be with someone now whom I'm attracted to both inside and out.

Well, I gotta Scotch-Irish name and bloodlines. I don't think I am looking Scot or Irish right now, but I did have a nice conversation with  with an Irish dude over the phone one time when I worked for American Airlines. He started joking from me right off the top when he heard my name and voice intonation (though I must say that I sound similar to my dad that once had a customer over the phone discuss all kinda niggers-this and niggers-that in the midst of a sales call, but then who almost shitted on himself when he saw my dad in person for the first time).  

 

One thing that's nice about the Internet is that you can have a conversation with someone without all the preconceived notions, stereotypes, and walls that you may set up when you see someone else's skin color and/or ethnicity off the bat. You don't even have to disclose what or who you are if you so choose. Of course that can lead to some mischievous or nefarious activities as well.

      Jack Roslovic: Only 2 other UFA, right-handed centers age 28 or under had more points (39) than him- Sam Bennett (51) and Pius Suter (46). There were 4 other centers age 33 and older who scored more: Gireaux (37), Marchand (37), Tavares (34), Granlund (33).  Unless the Canes go old, if they let Jack walk, they won't get a center who scored more.  Thoughts?

      It's important to differentiate criticism and hate. I can't speak for that individual you quoted. But most people who have been critical of the Tepper's have been so because both of them have made it a point to put themselves front and center and in the middle of team operations and we have been largely horrific more often than not as a result. If people are making derogatory remarks about her that should be met with an appropriate response but if people are being defensive just because she's being criticized all I can say is people should get used to it. Both her and David would have been getting absolutely skewered by the media and the fans if this were a big market franchise. The Lakers are finally being sold off after years and years of public criticism of Jeannie Buss and even though I'm the furthest you could go from being a Lakers fan just about anyone you could meet who is familiar with the NBA would say the criticism was certainly valid.
