Things your children may never know about

As a youngin born in '94, I believe the general age of 18-20 is the cutoff for remembering a lot of these things.

I remember when I was young, I'd get home, finish my homework as fast as I could, play outside until dinner, go right back outside after dinner, and stay out until it was time to go to bed. It was marvelous and I loved every minute of it.

My younger brother is 5 years younger than me, and while he got to experience some of that at a young age, I see him sitting inside watching TV or playing with his iPod all the time.

It's sad kids will never be able to experience stuff like that anymore, where now a days instead of playing cops & robbers on your bikes, kids would rather play Grand Theft Auto on their X-Box or Playstation.

Honorable mention to the plastic big wheels too, those things encompassed a lot of my childhood. And once I got to the bike riding age of 5 or whatever, scrap plywood for building ramps was the bomb.

Damn, I miss being a child hahaha. Can't even imagine how you older individuals feel.

I think VHS will have a comeback with a niche market like vinyl has today. There's already a few companies that make new VHS tapes. Eventually people are going to remember going to the video store and getting the 5-5-5 deal and want to relive some of that VHS tape magic. Who knows though, maybe someday kids from now will feel nostalgic about Netflix and Redbox.

They'll also never know the horror of trying to see your first porn on a dial up connection
