Armanti getting the love from LaFell and Smitty

Captain Morgan

Everyone he endorses or shows a liking to in the past seems to get routinely cut

I don't recall Smith ever really endorsing another WR before (except Moose obviously).  His comments have always been very PC non-comments.  Or occasionally he calls them out and says they need to work harder (Jarrett comes to mind).

armanti had another great day of camp.  and i thought ae was only good in shorts? never in pads, but he's been balling out and now people are saying oh he's just good in camp.

i think he transitions and makes some plays for us this year. he finally looks like a wr and he's been catching everything, easy and hard catches.

IMO, AE came to this team with hidden hopes to take the QB spot from Pickles after he crashed in 2010.... Didn't happen.

So, that offseason he still had a chance... Then came Newton.

AE had to swallow his pride and try to become a Returner first (because at that point there really was no competition). So in 2011 he was putting his efforts toward returning, but with our ST guys blocking for him, even Smith couldn't get yardage.

Then we get to 2012. AE starts putting in work as a WR and shines in camp. BUT, being the 1st year of really trying to become that WR, he struggled under the pressure of games. He did however have his moments.

Now we are in 2013 and this whole offseason he has put in the work to become a full time WR. And it is showing. I went to camp last year and was impressed with him. But this year... He's a whole new player. I can understand people having their doubts, I do too at times. But I believe he will make a huge impact this season.

Expect #14 to be on a couple of highlight reels this season.

I remember some dudes on the huddle were posting that he wasn't good and would never be good and was a wasted roster spot.

yea, These quotes are false.  Somehow contrived or recorded under duress.

I read the huddle forum and I know there is no chance in hell that AE is a real life, for real talent, serious football player in the league.

I've been pretty vocal about Armanti being a waste of a draft pick and roster spot, but I would LOVE it if he did finally come into his own as a WR and make an impact for us.

And to a degree he was. He didn't do anything special to suggest otherwise. Now it seems as tho he is in full bloom. I wanted him gone the last 2 seasons. But I'm willing to eat as much crow as humanly possiple if he's finally arrived.
