Update:

--Eugene talks about Cam's work ethic. Cam does burpee's for 200 yards after practice. Talks about the rest of the players  (specifically CJ) after practice working out so they can be more prepared/conditioned for the 4th quarter.  Also talks about how Cam is showing the rest of the team he wants it and he's ready to lead.

--Euguene talks about establishing a running game, which will take more pressure off Cam. Liked what we did towards the end of the season and thinks the offense is headed in that direction.

Ron Rivera Part:

--Rivera said the energy of the fans at Fan Fest was tremendous. Players were tired from previous practice, but fans energy pumped them up for a productive day.

--Rivera thinks the WRs will be a very good group. Moving Steve around is key and having WR that can do different things takes pressure off of Smitty.

--Rivera talks about Chicago game. The biggest thing is to play with tempo and aggressively. Is really going to be looking at the young players. Wants production from the veterans right off the bat.

------------------------------------

--Eugene praised Lafell, said Steve Smith wouldn't have mentioned Lafell or AE if he didn't mean it.

------------------------------------

Robert Lester part:

--Said players were very welcoming, fitting in well.

--Said Rivera and Saban are completely different. Said Rivera is more laid back.

--Cam jokes to him saying War Eagle

awful pre-recorded interview lasted like 30 seconds

-----------------------------------

Gettleman's part:

--talks about playing high school football and a year of college ball

--talks about how he watches tape and rates players. took a lot of time to get good at it. Bob Ferguson (buffalo, denver, seattle guy) was his first mentor.

--haha mick mixon called him "coach gettleman"

--says he has been seeing consistent, steady progress every day. Says chemistry is very important.

--says the cap has been a very trying process. but has established great relationships with people in the front office that he trusts.

--says the Defense is ahead of the O right now. But said Cam is having a great camp and is getting better every day. Offense is out their competing well.

--Gettleman drives a minivan with 80k miles on it. says he is a blue collar guy.

-----------------------------------

I was hoping it would have been more in-depth but each interview only lasted a couple of minutes and most of it was fuging commercials, oh well. i turned it off after Gettleman.

I'll be watching...

I hope Lester makes the team, but I wish they would move him to free safety.

If they don't, there is a good chance that we carry five safety's (Godfrey, Nakamura, Mitchell, Campbell, Lester).

Then again, they could also just use D.J. Moore as Godfrey's primary backup and cut Nakamura so that they aren't wasting a roster spot with having five safety's on the roster.

Any who, good luck to Robert.

Subtract Naka add Colin Jones

Colin Jones is a one-dimensional special teams player...

While Naka doesn't play great, he is serviceable.

Special teams is all about "want". A lot of players think they're too good to be on special teams but I think we already have some guys (Jordan Senn, Mike Tolbert, Jason Williams, A.J. Klein) who want to play on special teams.

I just feel like they can make better use of the safety position then going with a one-dimensional player that will never see the field on defense.
