nah it was just a really shitty play by newton.  no other way to put it.  he stared down olsen and missed an open lafell, that poo needs to be gone by the regular season and it will.  just a big mistake, no reason to worry.  they'll go over it in film and all will be good

I'll have to see the video again, but my reaction after seeing it live was that it is all Cam. All I was thinking when he was feelin the pressure was "Just take off and pick up the 1st down". I am not even sure he made his other reads. If a rookie LB saw that pass coming, chances are Cam didn't bother to make his other reads.

 

Same thing with the incompletion to Olsen in the endzone. I know no one definitely was open on that one. He could have taken off or even thrown it away instead of that gamble. Decision making man. I hope Shula and Dorsey stress decision making when they talk to Cam. An easy 1st down turned into a TD for the other team. I know it is preseason but I still blew a gasket after that play. That's just how I am wired. Too old too cange :-)

 

Besides the pick-6, I thought the 1st team was outstanding and I'll maintain our defense win us a lot of games. I am talking a top 5 defense this year. Our front 7 will fugg people up all season man. Don't know what to make of our 1st team offense yet. Special teams was solid too.

 

Right now, we look like a 10 win team.

I wonder if they're even gonna let him run in the preseason.

better now than in a game that counted.

 

i feel good about how he did otherwise, although there was an early pass to smitty that i thought he locked onto him too much as well.

eh that pass was pretty quick not much looking off to that. that defender made a good play.

      I’ve heard that Vegas looks at only 3 things when predicting games and setting the line 1. HC     2  Qb       3. Injuries  If that flash card is true, then it is the Bills to win   Add to it, , the Bills have lost 2 in a row and coming off a bye   They cannot afford to allow the Patriots to hang around by getting a 3rd loss.   That does not bode well for Carolina  to me though  1. it is all on the Panthers oline.  If Lewis returns at full strength, and perform at a high level, huge. 2 the defense needs to pressure and spy on Allen. Stop Allen and you stop the Bills   He is their biggest threat  he will make plays but make him pay for every single one  3.       To be fair we don't know how Mccaffrey would have looked had he been drafted by the Saints with Sean Peyton and Drew Brees Nor how Kamara would have looked with Mike Shula.

      Not sure why everyone is down on the guy, he's 5x better than Plumber and in equal situations can throw a better ball than Bryce or Dalton
