IIRC, TD was doing an interview along with another player.  Cam came up from behind kind of messing with them, just playing around.  TD was like chill out bruh.  Something like that.

 

OH, is that what happened?

 

That happens, all the time; no big deal (if it was). 

 

Gross, even did it to Cam, during a presser, indoors. Which I think is much worse, if we're going to judge these sort of things. Gross, was disturbing a pre-planned event, with various media, looking for a pre-season story to run with. At least with a game, you already have a story. 

 

But whether TD liked it or not. That's no biggie, if that what/when it happened, in my book at least.

 

More than likely, TD, didn't know what to say (i.e. caught off guard, as Cam was initially by Goss), and didn't know what to say in that split second. 

 

If I guys can't have fun, with their own teammates, at the end of a preseason game, then I don't know what to say?

Yeah I clearly heard TD say "bi&$@ a@&" something...I dunno if it was the same moment when Cam and Joe were goofing around on the sidelines, but it was perfectly clear on the TV to me. I cringed a little just cause the cameras caught it on live TV, and the announcers were dead silent after it.

And does anyone else mix up TheRed and TheRumGone all the time? Now that the two are arguing...I am just hella confused.

 

Sounds to me, from what everyone is saying/I could piece together (TD bending over to Cam's ear, holding a football, and talking to Cam through out the game), that TD may have been talking to Cam about Joe Adams. Lol

 

I don't think TD would care less about Cam, but may have felt Adams didn't earn it (whether he was joking or not). 

 

I still find this highly funny, to be discussed during this thread, with such serious insight (PS: I'm reading/responding through the thread now). It's a doggone pre-season game. And who knows, what players say to each other on the field, what it means, and the history behind it. It could have been all for fun, or serious. But who cares, really!? Cam wasn't doing anything grossly wrong.

 

We'd do well enough, to leave that part out, alone (TV eavesdropping, with requisite over analysis).

Exactly. I don't care if Cam, TD, Luke, Hardy, Smitty and 2 other popular starters get in a fight in the locker room after every home game. As long as they win and no one gets hurt, it really doesn't matter to me. When Smitty hit Lucas in the face, the only thing that mattered to me was Lucas might miss games while he healed and Smitty might get suspended. Didn't care why he did it. Just what would be the consequences.

How many players do think Steve Smith has said something worse to on a NFL sideline? I'm not talking about him saying something to Dwayne Jarrett caliber players either.

Maybe TD was joking. Maybe he wasn't.....

Ok I went back and watched this "bitch asz nword" again. There was a kick return. You see a guy get an extra shot on Kenjon Barner, Kenjon pops up and gives him a shove. It then cuts to Cam and TD talking, TD is pointing into the distance. At what? We don't know. You hear the audio but we don't know were it is coming from. I think it's safe to say that audio came from the field and they didn't have a boom mike over TD. This is another non issue from people that try too hard to be negative.

That was the first thing I commented on ....thanks for finding the play. I remembered Barner being dumb.....I also remembered I saw Davis go directly over to Cam after and point out someone to Cam. Which I believed was TD pointing out dumb behavior to Cam....for Cam to address bc he is our QB.

I rewatched it to.....Davis is pointing out someone to Cam as he utters it. How anyone can think he said it as if he was calling Cam that is insane.

Either TD was talking about Barner (most likely) or it was someone else he was specifically pointing out to Cam

Yea, Cam is never going to win with some people. He's pouting or he's joking around or he's frowning or smiling. As long as he's getting better I could give 3 shits about what he's perceived to be doing to much of. From what I saw the team looked cohesive and Cam looked poised on the field and seem to be in control of his guys.

I think our coaching staff saw why the 49ers didn't use Ginn as a WR last year. He's not very good.

Ginn looked lost out there. I have no problem with Cam having a little fun. If you are over 25 you probably don't get it. You don't need to get it. Young people act differently. Steve was once controversial in his youth.

Hopefully next game he gets some gametime work with Cam and see how they look together
