So we are running vanilla now and that is why the offense doesn't look great and last year it was because we got too cute. So your saying once we drop the pre from season we will have a nice well balanced offense that isn't vanilla but not quite rocky road?

No that isn't what I said. I said we are running a vanilla offense and defense which wont resemble what we run during the season. So any predictions will be potentially wrong. I don't know what others teams are doing or how that compares. For example we don't play Philly unless it was in the playoffs so why does it matter how we do against them. This is about our progression not other teams. Our meeting our goals on our time schedule. We have to be able to compete week 1. Until then it is all a process which is a Riveraism for It is what it is.

So what part of each team in preseason has their own goals and way of approaching it so sometimes results are way different.  For example how long did Peyton Manning play?  Yeah.......

All of this whining and complaining is just stupid.  Grow a pair and wait until the season starts before falling all apart and crying a river.

Until there was 6 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. Your point?

We've all been brainwashed by Rivera. It just seems like it goes from "its just preseason" to "we'll regroup after the bye and continue to improve" then "its a process and we knew it wouldn't be easy blah blah blah" just tired of hearing it i want to see it. Vanilla or not Jordan Gross said their trying to move the ball and score when you don't see that happening its concerning.

Gross isn't concerned and he is playing the games. Cam isn't worried and he has to live with that offensive line. So why are you? I trust that the guys are going it done once the season starts. The thread about it suggests exactly what I am saying.

Bronco fans aren't freaking out. They did just lose by 30 and their starting DE got carted off the field. 4 turnovers and 4 sacks. Only one TD scoring drive down the field. But it's preseason.

We lost by 5, had a very similar stat line, no turnovers (caused three), one sack given up (2 total in 2 games, bottom 1/4 out of all the teams, ironically), and faced a very foreign offense with a distinct agenda.

All the while, the Super Bowl runner-ups have yet to score a TD, and the Browns and Bills are the darlings of the preseason. We're supposed to make sense of it all? Not a chance...

I was more worried about the overall feeling from the Panthers against Philly. The team looked flat and it affected the overall play. Considering Rivera mentioned that the team struggled to close out TC with some vigor, that may have well played a role in the game. Enthusiasm will support overall gameplay and I expect to see that against the Ravens. If not, then concern is warranted. Otherwise, it's just preseason...

"You’re still disappointed when you lose, especially when you don’t score touchdowns.”

Jordan Gross

Nobody on the team is going to express concern why would they. Certainly not Cam after he was hammered for it last season.

Son, week 1 is gonna be a TEST.

Did you watch the game of just the score?

Just the 1st half considered.

So they score 33 points (with a missed PAT)

7 is a kickoff return, no such this thing with Gano kicking.

7 on the fumble return from the end zone, that is like a one is 4 seasons thing.

6 on a two minute drive that had an interception nullified by penalty.

3 points off a short field due to a fumble

3 points off a long punt return

The leaves 7 points (granted on a nice drive, Wilson did look good on 10-15 yard throws).

Overall I would not worry to much over a Seahawks team on the road. If you want to worry there is plenty to worry about on our team...

Agree. No one knows how Jordan or Cam feel about the direction of the offense.

That said, most of what I saw in the Philly game didn't concern me. After all, we had Star playing 3 tech for many snaps with our superstar Fua playing the nose. I wouldn't expect much of that in the regular season. Thomas played well and Norman seems to be playing much tighter coverage, so that's good.

The only big concern I have is Bell. He is playing like crap, simple and plain, and looks like the hoped for step forward hasn't and probably won't happen. I'm much more worried about him than Williams. Gary looks like he might be okay.

I love seeing Gettis step up, run nice routes, and show no hesitancy in his cuts. He could (with a strong emphasis on "could") produce as much as any WR we were likely to have drafted  this year. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope Rivera gives him plenty of opportunities.

I haven't put up my season tickets for sale I'm still giving them the benefit of the doubt even tho they don't deserve it. I'm hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. I hope they come out and look great I really do.

I'm not worried, I simply said week 1 is going to test us. It's a good way to test our teams manhood.

Seattle will not be ready for the defening silence of BofA Stadium and our "12th Librarian" crowd.
