I know I know PRESEASON.... But should we be concerned about Cam's accuracy?

I'm not concerned about Cam's accuracy, I'm concerned about his health.

He overthrows people sometimes but no QB is perfect. He's a great passer and his numbers show that, but with this line he can't rely on the run game to take any pressure off him and the line can't protect him for more than a couple of seconds.

you cant find a topic not calling out the OL. come on man we can point out the cams accuracy looks shaky.

he missed two passes. had three people drop passes.

there is something to be said about rhythm and having a run game.

this o-line is poo. his accuracy on TWO passes reflected that.

i agree. there are much bigger problems here than anything cam is doing, but you see this is a forum. we discuss what concerns us.

i was listening to the game on the radio, and Eric Davis and Mick disagrees with your assessment. they said he made throws where the ball was dropped, or knocked out the hands of the WR by the defender. if not, he has faced pressure all night because of no OL help. has he missed passes, sure but again what QB doesnt. i also heard Eric say that WR were not getting open and the route timing was off.

No. He has had some bad throws, yes but nothing concerning. The offensive line is where the real problem is at.(minor problem of WR depth too)

Since it's the huddle, I don't expect common sense to be the prevailing sentiment. Glad I've been away from here for most of the offseason. smh

Agreed, but we appear to have so many here quick to criticize the QB, despite what you said, and other terrible/worse facets of the offense and defense (DB's) tonight.

Yeah I'm probably overreacting, someone made a great point about how we need to invest some high picks/money to invest in bringing in more talent around him. Hopefully we can find a way to patch up the OL somehow because he's getting murdered back there. So I mean yeah I just wanted to see if anyone else was getting a little concerned

I think Cam's accuracy will be fine with a good O-line. the O-line suxs right now seemed to gel on a few sessions then fell apart on running plays.. I  am scared about the o-line.. as we cannot have a decent running play without the D in the backfield before it is even going..just my two cents

You should have gotten concerned about the OL, Run Game, or DB's, if you were actually watching the game, and had any (Preseason) concerns.

But it's all good.

It appears, Cam may have to throw out of more shot gun, than the Panthers intended.

    • Either way there's some tough teams on the schedule this year, on paper anyways.
    • Same. I would prefer a MNF game earlier in the season. As if more likely has some significance in case things go south this season. If we perform well enough we could even get another game forced to a Sunday night spot later in the season.
    • Wanted to jump into this thread. Although I do not post anymore I do look in as there are a few old friends around. Loved hearing some of the names you mentioned.  Another  oldie is NanceUSMC.  He is the one who got me here from the old Observer forum.  Good guy and smart football guy. I have learned a lot from a lot of good Huddlers over the years, Over time. we have sadly lost a few who left this earth too soon.  Anyone who know of someone, it would be nice to try to make a list.  One of the more recent, CosmoGirl,  was someone that kind of hit hard.  Life sucks sometimes. Some of the best times were when we had our own tailgate and could meet up in person.  I think it made us better. Several dedicated volunteers, lead by LiverMush, started setting things up in the wee hours of each gameday morning.  Don't know all those regulars but I remember JakeFlake was one.  For you newbies...each game,  a Huddler (or a group) sponsored the food for each tailgate.  Eating was free but a donation was asked for.  At the end of the year those donations were used to buy bicycles for Toys for Tots.  Over the years Huddlers bought a lot of new bikes for kids for Christmas.  (I am guessing a couple of hundred each year.)  We had a good time getting together, got to make friends in person, and then got to feel like you were doing something good. It was truly a community. I got to meet Dan Morgan at one of our tailgates...he brought pizza from his restaurant.  How many of you remember that?  Glad the restaurant did not make it....lol. Not only have people changed, and come and gone.....but the entire nature and purpose has changed. Nothing lasts forever and we move on but we still like to think about good times. Same reason we take pictures. Want to ask a question I have not seen anyone else mention......who remembers    "The Couch" ?  We have argued, laughed, lived the ups and downs of football and dealt with a little real life along the way.  A thanks to  the Mods who keep this going.  I am sure they sacrifice a lot of their time out of love for the forum and the Panthers. Take care my friends and be well.  I will close with my new favorite quote which I think is greatly needed in these difficult times.
