Seahawk Fans Expecting Blowout in Week 1

ESPN if we win:

What's wrong with Seattle? Why did they play so poorly? Let's look at their mistakes and blunders. How can they clean this up? Let's look ahead to the SF match up. Oh btw Luke is great, and he played at BC. Boston! *Boston accent*

I thought this night be creative but you just took verbatim what happened after the Ravens game. I think if we repeat our defensive performance from the preseason into the season, a lot of guys( at least the former players) from ESPN will begin to talk about us in a more than it was a fluke way.

I'm interested to see what the Fox and CBS news crews have to say because they are generally more insightful.

The Seahawks are going to get blown out week one. We are going to win comfortably and our backup QB will get some playing time at ~5:00 minute mark of the 4th quarter. The most overhyped team of 2013 will come crashing down to earth in glorious fashion while the Panthers begin their ascent into greatness.

If I was a seahawks fan, I'd expect a blowout too. In my opinion, they are the most talented team on paper. They are stacked from top to bottom and we have an offense that can't buy a 1st down. Russel Wilson doesn't have to sit back in the pocket like Flacco, so we're gonna have to deal w. him. Our rookie DTs have looked solid against the pass, but they still haven't looked solid against the run(2 words: Marshawn Lynch). Not sure if we'll get 3 defensive TDs and a special teams TD again, but our D may have to work another miracle. We're gonna see what we're made of in that game that's for sure.

After saying all that: Seattle was not a good road team in 2012 during the regular season. And they maybe clearly overrated for 2013.

Remember, half the teams that usually make the playoffs one year, usually don't make it the next.

I would not be surprised, if Seattle was one of them.

This maybe a fluid situation (their injuries, expectations, over confidence)?

Stay tuned.

Dude, it's freakin preseason for crying out loud. We haven't done anything on offensive because we haven't called any fugging plays on offense. I'm tired of hearing this. First it was something is wrong with Chud, good he's gone. Now something's wrong with Shula because we haven't gone but a page deep in the play book on any base set. Relax for crying out loud, RELAX. I need to get to giffing these posts, maybe people will sit back and watch the game for what it is, a scrimmage, and not react like it was a de facto conference championship game.

In this match up the QBs kind of offset each other as they can do similar things, so it comes down to personnel and they're 5 notch above us. But we can still pull it off.

Don't forget they're on the road (not that BOA is a scary place mind mind you), and it's their first game as well.

That could be the deciding factor, if other things are balanced out.

Hopefully, Ron Ron will make the players come out with fire instead of the usual slow, frozen starts to the season.

Speaking about that: I find it funny, how so many Panther fans (here and elsewhere) analyze Cam ad nauseum, when in reality, it's Rivera that needs to REALLY STEP UP this year more than anyone!!

    • Any idea what happened to him at LSU? im reading that he was considered a 1st round pick in 2023, had an off 2024 season with only 4 sacks but was also on a horrible FSU team then went to LSU where he was supposed to be on an aggressive defense that should have given him a lot of sacks but he only ended up with one….   was he injured? Did the top SEC competition expose him? What happened? Cause this guy was considered a top prospect .
    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
