Right because Gettleman knocked it out the park with Kug. He doesn't get a pass because this is his first year. No excuse to have a misfit oline

Many like myself doesn't like the Kug pick. We felt that Kug was a huge reach. Gman isn't getting a "pass". The difference though is Amini being a high 2nd and Kug a 4th. Most people view 1st and 2nd rounders to be immediate starters. I was a huge Amini fan before last year draft and I still am, but he hasnt given me any hope.

did he happen to mention what the  plan was for the right side or is he still thinking that williams is the answer?

 

I think we should play all our line on the left side. Kalil would actually be the rightmost lineman and we would have 4 to the left. Or maybe 6 with two TEs over there. And an RB and a FB

 

Then we just roll cam out left every time.

 

Then Superbowl.

 

Does Shula read this forum or should I email him??

Problem with Wharton is he doesn't really fix anything. In his last two seasons with Carolina he was horrible and one of the lowest rated lg in the nfl. The right side is still a problem and nothing's been fixed, you could question that Wharton makes the line actually worse especially if Wharton doesn't move to rg or something is done there. This should be nothing more then a placement for amini when he gets back.

 

 

I don't think he was horrible.

 

Look at 2011.  He started bad....finished very good.  2011 was also the no offseason/lockout, learn a new O season.

      I am high, but that’s besides the point! The blue line is not good right now. I’ve said it all year. I don’t think this group meshes well. Slaven has been just OK Niki up and down Miller up and down ghost and Walker have been your most consistent guys. Maybe it comes together more towards the playoffs

      I was expecting to see more cap room moves by now, which may be to suggest that we are not going to be that aggressive.  I have mixed emotions about that (because I think we have 3 needs on D and 3 needs on O--starters).  If you look to the draft for 3 starters, that is ambitious.  We need 6

      Yeah we shouldn’t be competing with teams, bidding wise, to sign a WR. There will be one for us and our budget.  I keep saying, how many balls will there be to go around anyway? One thing good I will say for this offense is the ball has been spread around at times. Seems like I remember seeing a large number of guys have caught passes in a game. Or been targeted at least. 3 RBs 4 or 5 WRs 2-3 TEs type of stat lines. 10-11 guys.  Not every week but that happens.    As far as WR in general, we need the smaller agile and quicker component to compliment what is there. After that it should be about depth, having good backups for the starters so we can run things consistently still, if a guy is out for a week or two. That is especially important in game where you have to finish the game with who you made active.
