Upgrades....where, who, how?

Now that the final 53 is listed and all the other cuts have been made around the league, where could the team use some upgrades?

And don't just throw out a position. Tell me who should be brought in, and who on the roster they should replace.

I'm curious to know what some of you think of Lavelle Hawkins. Made some nice plays this pre season. He's definitely talented but he seems to have a problem controlling himself. I think he took 2 unsportsmanlike penalties against the Vikings, one for taking off his helmet after he returned a kick.

Maybe Ricky and Smitty can mentor him. He's 27 years old so it may be too late to try and change him. I know it's a long shot since this organization doesn't have a history of taking chances on these type of guys. But he's a playmaker and you can never have too many of those.

Numbers aren't all that impressive but some of his highlights are. With 5 wide outs currently on the roster he may be worth a look.

Jake Scott OG who played alot with the first team in Detroit and was apparently decent could be an upgrade on the oline

@jjones9: Gotta a few folks asking about Marvin Austin as a pickup for the Panthers. For a couple of reasons, not a good fit

Same, would love to see mikell signed but I think that ship sailed awhile ago

Gettleman scouted him when he was in NY. Even if he's injured/sick whatever he is, just stash him.

Star, Dwan, Short and Cole...and you still see that as a 'need' position? :blink:

Not dead sold on all the others either, but DT is the most obvious.

Yeah I'd kind of like to know why Austin isn't even on the table if he's not.

 

The "reasons" would be nice to see rather than just the statement, I thought he'd be worth a look.
