Tough Mudder in Charlotte, 11-2-13

Are any of you couch tomatoes up for the challenge?

I signed up a week or so ago. Pretty excited.

If you dont know what that is, you can visit this link:

http://toughmudder.com

The entire course is about 10-12 miles. Definitely not for the weak ones.

"Tough Mudder events are hardcore obstacle courses designed to test your all around strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie. With the most innovative courses, over one million inspiring participants worldwide to date, and more than $5 million raised for the Wounded Warrior Project, Tough Mudder is the premier adventure challenge series in the world."

Its about $150 to participate though, and the more you wait, the more expensive it gets. (up to $200 i think)

Living Social has this race (on 11-3-13, Sunday) for $99

This will be the first time I do such event.

I think Catfang does this tough mudder race but not sure. Hopefully you used Groupon or Living Social and didn't pay the full $150. I think Groupon had it for $75 and Living Social has it for $99.

I never really use those discount websites, so I did pay full price.

Living Social does have the race for $99, but its only for Sunday only. I have a lot of my friends race Saturday, so this deal would not be a choice for me.

Thanks for the tip!

Nah, done the Warrior Dash a few times, not this one. I had considered it but its a week before the marathon.  No way I'm risking an injury.  I didn't know it was that expensive either.

    • That does sound familiar. Those fans are deep. In snow lol. you don’t want to be up there in January.   I would think they have probably seen it all. Except what…  the championship? Gotta feel for them.
    • I thought he was from watching him play and also doing his first HC job. I thought he was the real deal  Apparently what happened is Kraft committed to Mayo and I don’t remember the timeline exactly - but Vrabel was unemployed at the same time Belichick was unemployed. They both were fired (or out) after the 2023 season.  Kraft hired Mayo. Who was kind of an obvious disaster. He probably already had the deal in place but I will give Kraft credit for not sleeping. With Vrabel out there for 2025 he made the move he needed to make and if it hurt Mayo’s feelings then oh well.  I guess you can tell I am not fond of Kraft but that was a really savvy move. At his age, pretty good. Still has it.
    • It’s going to feel like a home game for the bills. There are so many of their fans that live down here now, and many of them have never seen Allen play in person since their last visit was 8 years ago. It didn’t matter for the cowboys game, but it might here. I think we likely lose a close one. Probably a questionable flag or two that doesn’t go our way. X factor for Buffalo will be Kincaid and Knox. If we do win it’s because we get ahead and play keep away from Allen. FYI- I have many friends who are Bills fans that are fed up with Beane who we all revere and think is the one that got away. They feel like he was great to land Josh but has done a terrible job of building around him (especially at WR) and rely on him to become super man to win- sounds kind of familiar, like the last time we had a franchise QB.
