But my favorite pick here is the Panthers. They're the last team before the odds go over the hundo cliff and at 66-1 they offer tremendous value. There are certainly concerns; the secondary could be a major problem and the offensive line is secretly kind of a nightmare. But they've got one of the best linebackers in the NFL (and my pick for Defensive Player of the Year) in Luke Kuechly, the addition of Kawaan Short and Star Lotulelei to beef up the defensive line and the presence of Cam Newton under center.

This team is a lot better than last year, at least on paper. The front 7 alone is going to change the outcome of some games. If the OLine can at least resemble an NFL caliber line, and they can hold on to win just a few of the close games, this is a playoff team.

Once you are in the playoffs, anything can happen, especially with Cam at QB.

I was thinking about this earlier today. Now that we have ginn he will hopefully score atleast one punt and kick off return each this season. We lost 9 games last year 7 by less than a score so that's literally two W's instead of L's if our defense keeps games as close and our offense at worst stays the same as last year which I don't believe it will. Should easily being looking at more wins this season than last

I don't think anyone has actually payed attention to what we have done this offseason.

Guys on NFL Network talking about the Taints returning to the playoffs said "Carolina has done nothing to get themselves pass rushers or guys in the secondary." lolwut you serious

    • That was when it looked like they decided to run clock, but not all of them realized it was a close catch. That’s honestly on Bryce and JT. they’re both the ones who saw the catch was close and they need to be aware it might get reviewed.  im not sure it would have mattered since it was a booth review but neither the qb or receiver played their part there.  XL just making these works incidentally was just a cherry on the pie.
    • Accepting defeat is not an attribute that’s relevant to a fan. Player maybe, yeah I think they wanna win. but as a fan this product ain’t good enough to be Atlanta from my observations we can’t stop the run, and we can’t score. They run the ball well. And get the ball out quick just not a good match up
    • This.  It seems like the front office is far more interested in coming up with a "find" than fielding a winning team.  As a result, they are getting talked about a good bit - just not the way they want. I still say to take the top draft guides and rank the players 1-275.  Then send in a ball boy, equipment manager or cheerleader to pick the highest player left on the board.  If this was our process, we'd be way ahead on our rebuild. Instead, we get these mystery picks with 31 other GM's/coaches scratching their heads while they do their jobs.  For proof I offer XL, DJ Johnson, Trevin Wallace, Jonatha Mingo, etc. The only "benefit" we get is UDFA's coming in and beating out the mystery picks.
