If we beat the Bills, the Giants game becmes one of the most important Panther games in recent memory.

And the year before that they finished 9-7 and won the fricking Super Bowl.

No one circles the wagons like Coughlin and his talented QB in his prime and that tough DLine.

The hard part is determining a Manning in his prime. 8 years from now when Peyton is inducted into the Hall I believe people will be able to say he was able to retire in his prime after 16 years. It's possible he has never been better than he is now and it's really frustrating(at least it would be) if they headlines are the Peyton went out on top. He is in his prime and it's hard to say for Eli because he is so hot and cold.

On topic, Bills fans are suggesting that they're defense will confuse Cam easier than ours will EJ. EJ is especially poised and I expected nothing less after watching him in college(I also thought the same of Ponder)(btw I'm a Tech fan). For them not to be worried about our defense does blow my mind. I believe we will get consistantly pressure and with Beast Keek and Davis playing we have the athleticism to cover the middle of the field.

Because Cam has issues locking onto his #1 receiver, I'm hoping to see routes designed for Lafell and Ginn that are not just screens. The D will be keying on Steve and Olsen so we have to get Lafell or Ginn 5 or 6 touches.

One game at a time.  I hope the Panthers aren't reading this poo.  Look...Buffalo is not a great team, but are we?

I have no doubt that if we play a hard-nosed, power-running-play-action-passing style with no mistakes that this could be a big win.  That 's true for just about every game this team has played.  Our defense could dominate Buffalo like the've never seen.  But "could" and "will" are two completely different realities.

I don't like to look past anyone.  Sure...if we do beat Buffalo, then the Giants game becomes our opportunity to set right what went so terribly wrong last year.  But i agree with those who say if we are sitting at 0-2 hosting the 0-2 Giants I think the writing will be on the wall.  Under those circumstances a great opportunity to get above .500 turns into RR and Co. fight for their professional lives.

That is not a good place to be in week 3 (or any week).  Let's take care of business in Buffalo (which is no gimme) and let that win forge a mental intensity that will carry through the bye week and into AZ and MINN.

I'm optimistic, but not confident.  I'd really like to see a performance similar to the way we played at San Diego last season.  That is how you win on the road in this league.
