Straw that Broke the Camel's Back.

This is it.  This is the point in time where Panther fans have learned over the last 5 seasons to shut down.  Hope is over.  O-2.  Time to put up our emotional wall, prepare ourselves for the worst so we can still find a way to function in society.....heartbroken. The games won't hurt as much to miss if you're scheduled to work.  After all our mascot is a black cat what should we expect? Jerry Richardson can't you see this is how fans feel?

Rivera.   A man who retreats when he's winning.  A coach who's lasting legacy will be what?  He coached like he was scared to win.  He's lost the fan support.  Some rare few will hold out hope that the Giants game will be different....but deep down they know, we all know.  Rivera needs to go.  This season already feels like a wash two games in.   Not only because we lost, but because the way we've lost seems fate would have it no other way.  The Panthers need a cleansing.  We have to wipe the slate clean of the losing energy that Rivera brings.  His losing lip service.  His awkward and dumbfounded facial expressions.  His inability to learn from his mistakes.   Never taking a chance on fourth and short, never taking the win.

When we look back on the Rivera era, this game will personify all that went wrong, and all that needs to change.

I'm starting to actually wonder which pro sports team in Charlotte has worse management.

At least MJ actually listened to the fans and made a big change. Richardson I don't think gives a damn what any of us think and he never has.

I think I need to move.

I'm waiting for all the Rivera/Shula supporters to show up and explain to me that statistically, we proved that we're the better team.  And it's all the players fault for not executing. And Rivera has really learned a lot and is finally ready to win.  And Shula really knows what he's doing.

This week was coaching.

Last week was players.

Coaching isn't the biggest issue every week....only most weeks.

I am as pissed or more as everyone about these two games...well more so this game....but we have to hold out hope...we have to be there for this team the players.  Yes RR has been a horrible coach and been horrible and gutless when it comes to play calling but we have to rally as fans that these players will take it upon themselves to turn this corner finally...Beat the Gaints...get to the bye pick up a few FA secondary and OL help if we can..Then go on a winning streak....Cards won't be too bad to play...rams shouldn't be bad either...vikings shouldn't be too bad but it is an away game....but hey....I know we haven't done this in some time now...but why can't we string 4 wins together and be above .500.........time will tell but don't jump off the building yet.....not yet.....

You mean last week the players gave the coaches a little cover, but that loss was still coaching.  They're all coaching.

Want to have some fun?  Imagine our offense with Sean Payton at the helm.  Or a Harbaugh.  Do you think for a second we would sit on any lead with a minute left in the half?

it's all coaching.  It has been since Rivera got here.

Not once in his tenure have I been one of the people saying Rivera should be fired. Today, that ended. The man has been given ample opportunity to prove himself and the only thing he's proven is that he can't win. Why we would continue on with him as our coach is beyond me at this point. So, you're right. I considered myself an eternal optimist, especially when compared with you lot. But this was indeed the straw that broke the camel's back.

    • I dont think people realize how hard it is to find a consistent starting QB in the NFL. Byrce will not heart us to a SB but I do think he can manage to get us one or close..go all in on defense and change the Offensive passing game and play calls. I really think our biggest problem is our HC.  Take New Orleans QB for example, switch him and Bryce and I promise you it'll look similar or worse. New Orleans OC is levels ahead of Canales. And as far as the draft goes, in this division with as much rb talent as we face ..the answer...this guy:    Pick up a couple edge rushers in FA along with a corner and plug this guy in Rozeboom's spot. Defense solved. But only if we get a top tier rusher on that dline....jus saying
    • I think I'm going to the game in Los Angeles vs Paraguay, and the England / Croatia game here in Dallas since my mom is British.  For decent seats anywhere in the building(s) it looks like it will be upwards of $7k for the two games.  Insane. Just for perspective, you could buy field level EPL tickets for any one of the top sides in the league, and it would be 10% of the price you'll pay for crappy seats at the World Cup.
    • Meh… I knew this thread would turn into a Bryce/Tua comparison, when they couldn’t be further apart situations.   Dolphins catered there whole offense toward Tua, they brought in a coach that would run a Tua friendly offense, the went in got the best most explosive WR in the NFL and paired him the fastest WR in that years draft. Panthers have done the opposite, they went and got a Pete Carroll disciple who likes to run the ball under center, they drafted big slow WR who got little separation in college. Literally the polar opposite of Bryce’s scouting report coming out of Alabama.   Tua was a decent QB 2 years ago, but the concussions, lack of movement have caught up to him. He never had a great arm to begin with but now since he doesn’t want to get hit he’s taking the whole offense down with him.
