So it's safe to say none of these free agents are better than what we have?

Its week 3 and no other teams have picked them up either. I guess you all are smarter than 32 NFL GMs

Pretty much.  There are reasons why these guys are unemployed.

Giants need secondary help and worked out Kerry Rhodes, but didn't sign him.  Broncos are working out Winston Justice, but likely only as depth (if he's even signed).  Antoine Winfield decided to retire.

The Patriots reached out to Brandon Lloyd.  He told them he doesn't want to play football anymore.  He's decided to be an actor instead.

Edit: Top Dawg beat me to it

As to Tom Zbikowski, if you get him you have to wait till he sits out his four game suspension first.

And FYI: The list includes Haruki Nakamura, Sherrod Martin and Jeff Otah, among others (Jeff Otah). Those guys don't exactly help your argument, OP

Just take a look at us right now... we are a mess, no leaders and no real direction period. Then look at teams that are dominant like New England.... they pick up these vets cheap to mentor their youunger players and it works wonders. Not us. We seem to like the trial by fire approach and look where it gets us... I'm just confused why we can't get some vets with experience in here to help clear the losing attitude out of the locker room cuz its depressing :/

I'm not.

With the vast majority of that list, you're just swapping one kind of bad for another

Can't agree with this. you can't tell me  Kerry Rhodes is worse than robert lester. Fans are sick of the same pessimistic nothing out there is as good as we have on roster answer. A former pro bowler can't be on the same level as a rookie.

The Giants had him in for a workout and didn't make him an offer.

Their backup safety is a rookie named Cooper Taylor.

No two teams have the same needs. I dout there secondary is in worse shape right now than ours.

I doubt you know who half the people on that list even are.

You lose credibility when you include Haruki Nakamura, Sherrod Martin and Jeff Otah on a list of 'hey, let's sign these guys'

First of all i didn't make the list rotoworld did. if you read the first page you would see the link. Just because you don't watch anyone but the panthers doesn't mean everyone else does the same thing. You lost all credibility when you assume to know what someone else knows. Take a seat sir.

So you just cut and paste without looking and said 'hey these guys must be better than what we have.' Brilliant

And a quick reality check: I'm one of the posters on here that's always urging people to watch other games for info and perspective.

Wow

    • You would hope so. I’m confused why the sports world seems split on Bryce when he’s obviously not working out.
    • So let’s do the reverse? Make everyone agree everything he does is a disaster? I also think the whole “gaslighting” is on the eye of the beholder. It went from he can’t avoid one single sack countered with he actually did that well Sunday (with data backing it) to a little breakdown of why he is so bad. People are going to have different opinions. I’m also not going to pretend this wasn’t happening Day one with this little QB.
    • All this great stuff he has done, how often does he do it?  I have it at three or four games out of 14 where he was very good and then you get a drive here or a series there where there are some good things. Here is the gaslight part: everyone has put him on a curve with his first year the baseline, neglecting to understand how bad he was then. Even if he comes back twice as good, where does that really leave him? 25th ranked or thereabouts.     He had so far to go, and still does, it is a Major ‘settle’ to accept his play as worthy of giving him our future.  You want to settle when the Bucs have Mayfield, and the Saints have overtaken us at QB? We will be third in the division at QB. That is good enough for y’all?
