The Big 3: Coaching Staff--OL--Playmakers

My opinion of the year so far: (Rivera is the Jew...I'm hoping we find the recipe)

Consider this people: it's 2013 in the NFL....and the 3 things that are in my opinion the 3 biggest areas of concern on this team: Coaching, o-line, and playmakers.

Coaching:

Terrible effect on the morale, mood, tenacity, and game-planning ability for an NFL team.  They do the coaching-thing pretty bad, so yeah, let's not keep these sh*tty guys.

OL:

I feel we have the shadows of a Fox-era and the replacements

Playmakers:

We have Smitty, Keek, CJ and Cam.  We have some reliable parts but other than these 4, there is honestly no one quite at the level of their playmaking ability.

It's frustrating as hell considering the NFL offenses that are having FB-TE hybrids break out, the athletic TEs, and the Cobbs of the world.  With those type of players, Cam could excel like crazy but we refuse to get any and it's frustrating...

On the D side, we have no one minus a "hopeful" Norman and our actually stud linebacking corps.   I love Short and think Star will be a main stay.  We overall have a great future on D with Short, Star, and Keek.

Basically...JR needs to make a better f*cking decision for our next head coach.

yay team!

    • Yeah one big factor has been he is surprisingly quite durable. But the reality of that aspect is much of it boils down to plain dumb luck more often than not. Big guys get hurt smaller guys get hurt it happens across the league to anyone to varying degrees. The issue is we are staring down the barrel of a possible top 10 QB salary and Bryce Young is one of the least physically gifted starters in the league. That is not a shot at him it is simply a rational acknowledgment of circumstances. There is a legitimate question to be asked if his window as a starter in this league is smaller as a result because what is going to happen when those hits that he has previously popped right back up from with a smile on his face begin to accumulate as they do for every player that has been in this league? These are just things to consider.
    • This game is a must-win for both teams I feel. For the Canes, you don’t want to go back to Vegas and put them in front of their home crowd with a chance to close out the series. For Vegas, if you drop this game your only chance is to win 2 straight and similarly have to contend with an energized Canes home crowd if you get to a game 7.
