Cam Newton and Steve Smith challenged Lester/White before Giants game

I'd take White over Norman all day every day.

But Mikell is a top 10 NFL safety and needs to start when he's healthy.

that leaping pass deflection he had i think vs Seattle (and him just being signed a week earlier) was fuging crazy. Lester can't make plays like that, and Mikell has wayyyy more knowledge. It's a no-brainer.

But you and I and a few other posters were talking about Melvin a lot before the Giants game. I like how he plays and his size.

I've heard a lot of Bama fans saying Lester just has a knack for the ball and considered him to be an absolute fuging steal for us.  He's not going to be a leader in the secondary, but he's one of the absolute best "followers" you can ask for.  He's the type of player that can make plays and build on the momentum, but not necessarily start the momentum himself.

Whether or not that translates to the NFL is yet to be seen, but his first professional start sure did back it up some.

Lester has a knack for being where you need him to be. He's going to be too slow to be as effective as he somehow will be for a long time to come, and someday he's going to be considered a steal.

He's going to be too slow to be ass effective as he someday will be come? Not to nitpick but that sentence needs revision. Either he is slow but will overcome it. Or he is too slow to become what he could because of his other qualities.
